Why is gratitude important?
Let's first understand what we, human beings are. We are just a small spec of dust in a large cosmos. In the solar system, we happen to be the most advanced life form.
Let's look around us, on this planet. If you have an internet connection and can read this, take it from me that you're one of the rare lucky folks in this world.
Of course, we have our own problems in life. Everyone does. When someone realises the importance of gratitude, they rarely make a mountain out of a molehill.
There won't be complaints of the lack of something.
Gratitude need not be "seeing things in terms of another". No. The reason I said all this is because I wanted you to think about your blessings, first.
If you are on a path to seek happiness, gratitude will be your best companion. It'll give you positivity & peace of mind.

Couldn't agree more 💜
But sometimes when someone at the spot of a challenging time, it can be difficult to be grateful.
What do think would be first step to be able to feel grateful regardless the situation?
That's a nice question ! I'll answer it with a small story. 2 men - kind-man & harsh-man are friends. Their natures are as their names. One day kind-man steps on a thorn & injured his leg, slightly. The same day harsh-man got 5$ from the street. Kind-man got sad that he faced an injury while Harsh-man got some money. So he went to wise-man. He listened to kind-man patiently. Then he spoke - See, something worse would have come to you. But, it got reduced to a small thorn. On the other hand something better was in store for harsh-man. But, it was reduced to 5$. I hope you've got my point. So, when we face tough situations, we must realise that things could have been worse. That can make us feel grateful upto a great extent.
I love this so much! thanks for making this thread.
gratitude is something I am trying to bring more of in my life. it's really the most powerful thing and it's really simple to cultivate it in one's life. if we do consider the grand scheme of events, we're really very lucky to be alive right now. your post reminded me of something I read in the book, A Short History Of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.
"Why atoms take this trouble is a bit of a puzzle. Being you is not gratifying experience at the atomic level. For all their devoted attention, your atoms don't actually care about you - indeed, don't even know that you are there. They don't even know that they are there. They are mindless particles, after all, and not even themselves alive. (...) Still you may rejoice that it happens at all. (...) This is decidedly odd because the atoms that so liberally and congenially flock together to form living things on Earth are exactly the same atoms that decline to do it elsewhere. Whatever else it may be, at the level of chemistry life is fantastically mundane (...). The only thing special about the atoms that make you is that they make you. That is, of course, the miracle of life."
I just wanted to share this, haha. I am unsure how much of it is in alignment with this post but when I read it, I thought it was pretty cool. I hope you are doing well, thanks again for this post!
