Just started, level 10, ugh, but I feel better :)
@TotallyConfused
Hi 🙂
Its great to hear you feeling better!
Thanks for being here, and I really hope you enjoy the site!
Its awesome your here
Take care
Step 70.
I'm think that I'm learning to be a bit more gentle/compassionate - with myself, others & situations. The thanks/gratitude and mindfulness/reflection exercises help I think. I'm not sure that I find the other exercises that useful so far. I find most of the "inspirational" posts twee & irritating to be honest. Maybe that's part of MY problem?!
If find the Growth Path approach useful in reminding me to keep trying the exercises & to give some sense of progress & achievement.
@puddy, how wonderful that its becoming easier to be kind and compassionate with others and yourself! Like you, I find the same thing happening with me. I find I'm feeling kind and compassionate towards a wider range of people than before as well as with myself. I wasn't always so good towards myself. I really enjoy the mindfulness/reflection and gratitude exercises, too. I like the posts, and many of them make me smile; however, the ones you mention are my favorite, too. :)
Here's to a positive path! ![]()
@BridgetAileen
Thanks for your reply. It's good to get another person's perspective.
Funny that you have such an Irish looking name/avatar when I am Irish.
I just find the "feed boost" too twee for my liking. Maybe I'm to cynical...
I like the fact that the are a variety of short mindfulness meditations which makes it easier to get motivated to do them & keep at it.
I'm never sure that I'm doing it "right" but also realize that you're not supposed to look at it like that! I'll keep at it though. At the very least it's an opportunity to sit still, relax & put all the daily stresses & supposed troubles in some sort of perspective & to get a little distance from them.
I sometimes struggle to come up with stuff for the gratitude/thankfulness journals but it's good to be challenged to do so rather than stocking with the habit of dwelling & ruminating on negatives. Or at least it's a counterbalance to that.
Level 77 already :)
@ximeliuke

Have a nice day you wonderful person!
Made it to step 30!
@Reyofsunshine wooo!! Step #30! hope that the journey is going super well for you :)
I've reached #50. I've learned that I need to take the time to take care of myself first before I can start taking care of my responsibilities towards others.
@Tiuri That's absolutely right! Self-care always comes first, no matter what! Once you are in a healthy state to start caring for others, that's when you're more than welcome to do so! All the best, Alex
Never give up :) Life gets better everyday, but there will always be challenges.
@RecaptureProject That's a beautiful way to look at things :) <3
Another milestone on my path to recovering myself. I still have my anxietys and fears but I am learning more each day about myself and how to slow down and think. I still have moments where I want to tell my wife I love her and that she is very special to me, I want so badly for her to look at me the way she used to and to smile because she is happy to see me. but i also know progress is a slow process and maybe someday I'll be her babyboy one more time. for now all i can do is to keep on loving her, myself, our children, and work on improving everything that I need to to be a healthier me.
@angrymunky86 It's a long journey, but congratulations on the steps that you've taken this far!!
Made it to Step #10, maybe not be a lot and I just started and I hope I will continue
but I learned that at least starting on the path and reaching out for help that I was able to open up to someone for the very first time and be completely honest and vulnerable.
@cupcakieee
Hey, friend! :)
I'm so proud of you for making it to Step #10! It takes a lot of work to proceed through our Progress Path here at 7Cups, so this is a really big milestone that you should celebrate!
Always,
Alex
Happiness, self-love and recovery happen then I least expect them to.
@WhiteBearClub I hope that they come/came to you right when you need them to!!
