That everyone is here to support everyone
@Mitch1 It's the best, isn't it? We are like a big supportive family of members and listeners that really do care about each other!
I'm having fewer anxiety attacks :)
@melichrous That sounds like a great improvement! You got this :)
Hi Everyone, I've just reached step 210. A friend of mine told me something that I have kept in mind and has help me many times:
"Don't borrow trouble"
By that he meant that a lot of worry is just in our imagination and is not real. Why worry about things that have not happened yet?
@alonesomeryder First of all, congratulations on reaching step 210! I love that quote, it is SO true and I think it can help so many people on here :)
To talk about things
@thisisnowmyscreenname Talking about things is the best way for us to sort through it sometimes! I know it works great for me :)
Step #20:
Today I learned that the negative thoughts I feel most likely aren't as true or as bad as I make them out to be - both about myself and my perception of others' perceptions of me.
@affectionateTortoise5784 Yes!! That is so true! We always make it such a bigger deal in our minds, and we are definitely our worst critic.
Just got to step 20, and I've learned that things change and life keeps on going, and that's not always a bad thing. :)
@ClumsyTurtle48 Congrats on making it to step 20! And yes, adjustments and change can be very disrupting, but later we can realize it's not so bad :)
I have finally accepted myself.
@AnxiousForest Accepting ourselves is a great accomplishment. We can begin to accomplish much more once we do that!
Demonstrating self-love especially by forgiving myself, when I fail.
I Fall, I learn, I get up and get moving! Not stay they and wallow in self-pity or anger.
@flowingriver That is so awesome! Getting back up no matter what, you learn, you make it better, and don't beat yourself up about it but see it as a learning experience! :)
Step 100. Wow, that went by so fast. I think what I've learned at this point is that all of this truly works, if one has enough faith and determination. This past week I've noticed moments where, previously, I would have been flipping out or crying. Instead, I was calm to the point of wondering, "wait, this can't be me! I'm not freaking out!" But here I am, with my zen or spirit or what have you in check.
@CleopatraElizabethI yup indeed, with tries comes success. Great that you managed to be calm!
Remaining positive, , don't let others control your day.
@Birdwatching indeed,for it is yours!
