Hello

My name is Stephenie and this is my first time here. So far I like it. I started the exercises/activities that "fill my cup".

It's given me comfort and I feel appreciative of it.

Thank you and looking forward to being here.

I've learned to note every emotion that comes in and not react to it but more to acknowledge it💕

I'm learning that you don't have to be valididated by having a "diagnosis" or anything. No matter how small you may think your problem is, or how big, you can get help and begin to solve it.

The number one thing I've learned...that's a good question. Tough, but good.

When I saw this question as my next step I thought it would be simple. But as I began typing I realised that this was a question that would require some real thought. The kind I didn't want to do. Introspection has always been a bitter process for me, but I know that 7 Cups wouldn't give me a task I couldn't manage.

After a lot of thought, I came to the conclusion that the number one thing I've learned so far is the value of calm and meditation. I always deal with things in two ways: busy myself with something or someone else, or shut down and not think about or do anything. My father has purchased his fair share of self help books, and has shared several with me. One of the common threads between them was the suggestion of meditation, but I never put any stock in it. I live in a house with a twin and a little brother, and a quiet, private space is hard to find. So I just never tried.

But this afternoon I decided to try. And I was amazed. So, thank you, 7 Cups, for pushing me to help myself. Have a nice day, community.

With love,

Great that you're putting your faith in 7 cups...... 'I know that 7 Cups wouldn't give me a task I couldn't manage'.

But even more encouraging that you have faith in yourself and are finding new ways to manage. You say 7 cups pushed you to help yourself......actually, they gave you the prompt, and you did the hard work. Well done for that! You should be proud of yourself :)
