It's hard to come out of your comfort zone and most times its scary to start over life once you go through hard times. I learned to take on new challenges and accept that I can't do everything on my own. Accepting help is hard and I'm still learning to do it each day.

@BeautifulDarkside I used to hate asking for help or advice. I was one to believe that no ones opinions were better than mine even my parents. I would ask for their advice then hate what they had to say. I learned to accept others opinions and listen when they give me advice even if I don't always like what they have to say.

Congrats on taking a faithful step towards your own progress and success! I think it's wonderful that you have the courage and strength to ask for help. It's not a sign of weakness, but definitely a sign of strength. Glad you are here! @BeautifulDarkside

Keeping busy is the best way to distract myself from dwelling on the past.

@quietDime4559 I find that helps a lot my boyfriend always says don't think about things you can't change or things that have not happened yet. Instead focus on the present and what you can change

I am slowly learning that I can't fix everything. I can't worry about things that have not happened yet and I can't dwell on the future for it has not come yet. I need to focus on the now and when I am feeling overwhelmed or anxious talk to someone about it. It always makes me feel better knowing someone is there for you and wants to see you get better.

I keep learning that there are good days, and there are bad days. It's an every single day battle.

that it's okay to need professional help to get through.

July 5th, 2016

I think that's a mature and responsible way to look at a situation! When you know your own limitations for growth, as well as are aware of your own opportunities to seek assistance, it certainly is a wonderful thing @FallenBird1234

Everyone fails sometimes...

July 5th, 2016

You're definitely en pointe with that statement! It also seems that the people who encounter a lot of failures, garner a lot of successes! @Cheon

To not overthink minor things and blow them out of proportion

Don't sweat the small stuff -- it's so true. I'm glad that you want to keep everything in perspective, and focus on what's important. @lyss900
