Probably the #1 thing that I've learned is that I can cultivate positive emotions through different exercises and that will drastically improve my lived experience.

I'm learning that having mental issues is nothing to be ashamed of or something to hide. That it's important to reach out for support and ok to ask for help.

I've learned how important it is to get myself out of my own head. I am compiling a toolkit of ways to do so - lose myself in art or writing fiction, reach out to someone else, watch a movie, listen to a podcast - anything to turn to when I start torturing myself with obsessive thoughts.

@Mirea

Those are great ways to distract yourself. I am fond of poetry myself. Keep up the great work!

I learned that life is truly fulfilling when you give of yourself to help someone wholeheartedly not expecting the same gesture back. God did that for us so I want to make it a lifestyle doing it for others

@Natrod What a beautiful thing to learn! That is the wonder of helping. You help others but you also help you. 😊
