To gain the courage to manage my life

July 26th, 2016

@DoktorEgo

It sounds like you are taking a brave step forward, and that is such a positive thing! Life can seem overwhelming and scary in some aspects for practically everyone, and I am so glad that you are moving forward in this way. Congrats.

ive learned to trust myself and to not let myself get hung up on the past but rather to look toward the future

@blueRaspberries6838

Not living in the past -- such a great lesson to have learned! We can move confidently forward with our lives, I think, if we forget about past woes, regrets, negative experiences, etc.

Read some interesting things about boundaries and put it into practice right away. It was REALLY hard and I didn't do it very well, but I did it, and I think it will benefit me.

Looking forward to learning more.

@Carlene

So glad that you are learning more about boundaries! I think it's important to establish boundaries with others, in order to gain a better sense of protecting ourselves and our own emotions.

@lynjen Thank you! So good, but WAY hard. All this working on bettering myself is exhausting.

I learned that I should not let one discomfort stop me from feeling the many joys of life.

@selfconfidentFan5467

Great lesson! Just because you have one bad experience or a few bad experiences, doesn't mean they should taint your life and all of the positivity which it can bring!

That sometimes you just need a break from the world @GlenM

July 27th, 2016

@SemiAutomaticPilot

Spending time alone, in mindfulness, and drowning out the stressors in the world can be hugely beneficial! I think it can help you to re-charge and re-center yourself. Great lesson!

@bestVase7265 Healing does take time and it's usually an ongoing process. I'm glad you learned this. Be patient, you are doing great. 😊
