I learned to understand my mental illness before wondering why my life is like this. Finding the source of my problems has helped me get past some things and prepare myself to work further on myself. I've also felt better when I am asked about positive things I've done and things I am grateful for. It really has helped me focus on what I have accomplished and what is good in my life. I also feel like now I have somewhere to go when I need help and I know my roommate has their own problems. That's helped me a lot.

@rainprince I'm happy for you! The most important thing is knowing that you're not alone, there are millions of people around the world who might be feeling the same thing as you do, or going through similar issues as your own. Counting your blessings is a really good skill to have too, keep it up <3

@GlenM

Hello. I am new to 7cupstea. I'm a family therapist and am trying it out to recommend to my clients. One thing I learned is the steps are easy to do and there is lots of encouragement. What I learned about myself is I found it challenging to find things I'd done well in the last few days.

@greenPear9275 We are glad to have you here! Sometimes it is helpful to write down the things that you are doing well each day even if it is just a small thing! If you ever need any help don't be afraid to ask!

@GlenM Taking things step by step and understanding that real progress and change tkes time but it has been happening

July 30th, 2016

@APoolShapedMoon

Learning to take things one step at a time, and be patient! Sounds like a great lesson to have learned!! Progress does take time, and hopefully one's efforts will all be worth it that they have put forth. Congrats.

@APoolShapedMoon It really does. Progress takes time, but keep going at it and you'll reach your destination eventually.

@GlenM

The last video I watched was clips of soundbites and movie shorts that were uplifting and encouraging. Mainstream movies and leaders can be inspiring.
