At the beginning of 2016, while I was considering finally coming out, I was at a game night using kind of an unusual strategy. Some guy Idon't even know said, "You do you." I know that phrase has been around for a while, but it really felt like the first time I heard it.

It helped as I was coming out to realize that I could be myself, my way, on my own terms. There was no way I *should* be in my identity, and there was no way I *should* do my coming out process.

I've been struggling with productivity for the last several months, and the last week with American election news has really gotten me extra, extra depressed. Last night before bed, I busted out some tarot cards. (I don't think they're mystic, but Ido think they help me connect with my intuition and a level of my brain that I can't quite access most of the time.) Looking at those for just a couple minutes, I realized I'm letting all the craziness and stuff around me sway me too much, have way too much power over me. And, I don't have to. I felt like my cards were saying, "You do you." Like, let all that other stuff go, just focus on me and mine and what's here in my little circle of control. Being upset does not change anything out of my circle of control.

It helps that I got some rest this night, and that I promised myself rest tonight, too, by making my bed this morning. I'm gonna get stuff done. I'm gonna figure it out. I'm gonna love myself. I'm gonna be ok. Imma do me.

I am learning that I am so very strong.

I am learning that I am capable of real unconditional love.

I am learning that I can put my own well being first because I love myself unconditionally too.

At step 310, I have learned that not every day will be good, but my attitude has a lot to do with how I feel

@jr50 yes, I too have noticed that when I am positive I tend to do better at things.
