420 steps... I've been taking them SO slow lately... I haven't meditated in a while, i have lost the will power i had earlier, and it kinda makes me a little bit scared. I don't thing it's good for me...

@ivoryPeach3778, not to worry. It's waiting for you, like a familiar old book. Pick it up, and it'll catch you up, right where you left it -

@thoughtfulTriangle4746 Really? You think so? Thank's for the encouragement... I was busy lately and i had to take it slower, and when i stopped being busy, i just found i am not finding the will to help myself and take steps like i used to. Don't know why...

@ivoryPeach3778, I started this work of my path in my early 20s. My 30s and 40s came and went with other more mundane and critical stuff taking front seat. After life moved some stuff off my plate, there it was. Meditation, being in the moment, everything that had touched me decades ago, still here.

You don't have to wait decades (grin). I have direct experience (and input from many friends) that the path and life are patient dance partners, ready to pick up the steps whenever we come back to them.

Always forward, sometimes slow, sometimes fast. Every new day, just that - a New day.

I won't always enjoy the days, but I enjoy the process of progressing through. Much like being on a travelling holiday - what do we have here? Don't like Main street? There's a little flower-and-ice-cream shop off to the side. I think I'll say hi to the worker there.

I get to choose. I get to determine whether this path is right for me. It's me and my anchor to life, the little compass steering me forward.

I'm learning that the "Law of Attraction" that makes people try to force themselves to think only positive thoughts isn't exactly right. If it isn't authentic and negative but legitimate thoughts get pushed down, that negative energy just builds up inside and attracts more of it's like. So don't be fake positive, be real positive, and if something bad happens, its better to be authentic about it to release that pain and then heal with positivity afterwards, than it is to just pretend the house isn't on fire.

I'm not losing myself. I am on my way to finding myself again. The me I find might not look exactly like the one I used to know, but at this point I think she is going to look even better.

Omg I actually reached step 300! Yipee! I learned I need to take more time for myself to do things I want to do, namely mindfulness and going to a park.

70- I've learned that I've got let go of the things I can't control. Let the pieces fall where they may, so to speak.

I'm learning that grief is not a race. The new normal does not come quickly.
