I should be kind to myself and I can get better.
I hit yet another milestone! Great times! I'd have to say I am still learning about how to separate and take time for myself for self-care, since it's extremely important, especially when yu are in a situation where the surroundings can be detrimental to that.
@GlenM @Laura @Amelia @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn and my many friends (and future friends) of 7cups ...
Today I am at step 700! I'm not sure what I expected when I stopped by 7cupsoftea.com over 18 months ago. But I have changed and grown, for the better. It is exciting to meet people from other parts of the Earth and to talk and learn of their cultures.
I'm not sure if my mental state is in a better spot as compared to even one year ago. But the help and encouragement I have received from 7cups - listeners AND members - has helped me: 1. to endure, 2. to keep going when I want to just lay down and stop, 3. to share past events of my life with less fear because of their promise not to judge.
Today my counselor asked me, "So, overall, do you think 7cups is a positive thing for you?" Overall, when I mix altogether the rough hard parts with the learning and growing parts and the just plain fun parts ... yes 7cups is a positive influence in my life. And for that, I thank you.
Sometimes a small pause to reflect and assess how things actually are, is a really good thing.

@GlenM live with your broken heart and try to be happy, that will make you have a deal with it and will heal soon!
I've learned to just breath especially now that I'm not feeling good. 😶
@GlenM That there's people who have my same exact problems.
Milestone 3060: Love, not blood, makes a family.
I am 232 days clean from self harm for the first time in almost 6 years
Learn to be honest with myself and I can deal with things better.
Managed to put a stop to my ruminating before it gets out of hand, and plunges me further down the pits
