I'm still learning how to say No to things that might seem like a good idea but I know will be of detriment to my health, physical or otherwise. It's very difficult because I feel like I'm losing out if, for example, I decide to stay home and get rest rather than go out when I'm unwell. But I feel like you have to keep sight of that light at the end of the tunnel... because when you're looking after yourself, it's beter for you in the long run.

Hi.
My healing journey is much like peeling layers of an onion - just when I have peeled off one layer, there is another layer to discover.
Self love is something that is concious and on purpose and ongoing - not just a one time decision.
I have to remake that decision and activly DO it, all the time....

Made it step 8
When you help others you're also helping yourself.
What have I learned so far?
On the practical side of things, I've learned some amount of time management skills and thinking about what is truly best or works for me. I've been using the Pomodoro counter thing I have and some white noise to get me to study in blocks, works well. Takes some time to get accustomed to, however. In relation to that, I'd say that keeping in mind that no matter how much people and society will bark and praise other "successful" people's paths- stick to your own and walk it. After everything that happened to me, I feel hugely disadvantaged. Little by little I'm getting out of it, but at the cost of starting late and learning how to live again. Sometimes those people touted as "successful" are the furthermost thing from it.
And this is what I've truly learned- ignore the ceaseless barking and walk the path that seems right for you.
I've learned that I'm not alone. ❤️
