I am learning to accept who I am.
I do not need other peoe's approval to heal.
My approval is enough.
This too shall pass.
Step 266 & lately I've learned that it is so much easier to feel mentally healthy if you also feel physically healthy. (On a related note, I'm finally getting my allergies treated. Yay for breathing!)
@pluckyWillow6562 congrats
I learned that its okay to feel the way i feel. That i have every right to feel how I feel. And that someday, im gonna be okay.
I've learned that you have to lean into the discomfort. In a safe environment, with healthy people I have to practive what is (initially) uncomfortable for me: Being vulnerable, opening up... things that weren't safe for me growing up but as I've learned, are essential for healthy living. It takes time and I celebrate the small victories which add up over time. Also, I never begrudge my unhealthy habits that I'm unlearning now, because those habits saved my life when I was a child. And yes, they're hurting me now, which is why I'm learning a healthier, happier way of dealing with stess, anxiety, depression and trauma.
@GlenM
I've learned that no matter what, there is always light and therefore there will be shadows. it is important to remember that you amy walk in the light for awhile then pass under a shadow, but just as the clouds part for the sun the shadows will part to let you uder the light once more.
I have learned to worry less about what other people think and the harder I work the better I get.
@Knud i hope i can follow you
@Knud thank you for sharing this with me. It sounds so simple in words but it can get difficult in practice. I am right there with you.
;w; It's been ages since I posted here, but I can come and say I'm learning to socialize more often than I have ever done since a decade back. I'm on step 48, but at least the paths are helping me get through the tough times I went through over the last year almost. Plus, the steps allow me to express the right directions I have been heading as of late, especially after my hospital stay.
