100 steps! I've learned that mindfulness and meditation are key. Where's it been my whole life?

Accept others for who they are, you can't change other people.

I have learned to take it one day at a time, as cliched as that sounds, or even one hour or even one minute at a time. I guess that's the essence of mindfulness, taking life minute-by-minute and not looking back or ahead. The benefit to me is a *huge* reduction in stress! I still look ahead, but I try to only do this when thinking of what I want to accomplish that day, week and month, scheduling upcoming events, etc. and I try to only look back when it's in the moment, e.g. I will remember the events when I work on organizing my digital photos, but only during the process, not after. "Inch by inch, life's a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard." Mindfulness in a nutshell.

I've learned more about balancing the taking care of myself, and others. It's important for me to own the fact that I have to come first. That was a foreign concept to me not that long ago. But, the better you take care of self, the better you can help others.

Focusing on what I did well really helps me feel better. I already knew this but I relearned it.
