I've learned love is stronger than blood. Your biggest supports won't necessarily be family.

I've learned that the people that truly care for you will be there no matter what in any way they can. Time differences, distance, nothing will stop them from offering you love and support when you need it.

My depression is so severe. I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I have no energy whatsoever. My self esteem is zero. There HAS to be a better treatment for depression than the one I'm on. I think part of my problems are the anti-depressants themselves. They make me sweat profusely. They make me tired and numb. I'm weening myself off both my tranquilizers and my anti-depressants. I've had depression since I was 18. I'm 44 now and I'm fed up with nothing working! Depression is robbing me of a peaceful life. I don't know where to turn or what to do. I sleep for days at a time and wake up feeling sick as a dog. I just wish it would all stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

True story....for situational.depression I had for almost a year, symtoms such as you describe, I went to an acupuncturist. She was able to stop the physical "loop" so I could get off the roller coaster long enough to formulate some decisions. The first was to quit a high stress job. It worked , I felt the cloud begin to lift.

I have learned that I'm not alone, that there are many people out there that have been through and survived a lot of the same things I have. I've learned that it is really nice to have someone to chat with regardless of what you chat about so as not to feel so alone. and the meditation things help relax me while getting ready for bed.

I'd rather have a handful of people who accept me for who I am than a lot of people who like the idea of who they think they are. I'm proud to be me!

I have learned a lot of people are going trough the same thing, or have been trough the same thing. You are not alone.

I've learnt that a burden is not something you should carry alone. In fact, solitude makes it worse because the burden will eat you away. No matter who or where you are, there will always be people reaching out to you. Don't be afraid to seek help in times of need.

I've learnt there's always someone who you can talk even if it's virtually and that talking about your problem definetely helps even if it's by a little!

I learned that talking to others who are open to listen is important. Also I learned that one grows stronger with good friends.
