Growth is not easy.
@Fairminded7545 Yes but it is worth <3 Best wishes :)
Failure isnt only okay, sometimes its necessary. Sometimes you literally cannot reach your end goal because failure is a step that must be taken in order for you to understand something you didnt before.
Failure is okay and even good, as long as you make it a fast failure and bounce back to solving the problem.
@anonymous008 Wow, such an important thing to learn in life. We live, we fail, we grow <3 hold this awesome perspective ...dearest wishes..
Learn to be in the present moment
Allow yourself to tap into your essence instead of into your head
Meditation over medication
Deep breaths
It's okay to feel what you feel
Thank yourself for waking up and going through with today.
Accept yourself the way you are. You only have to do the best that you can.
Allow the future to come to you.
@geham100 Whew, what an inspirational post! It really reminds me of mindfulness which really helps with motivation. Thanks for sharing with us!
Step 42: it's okay to not be okay
@sunnyAcai8948 Very true, as humans, we're bound to have our low moments. What matters ultimately is how we rebound and move forward. Well done, and congrats on reaching step 42!
Focusing on treating myself like I would treat a good friend
@impartialOcean8431 I love that! We often tend to neglect ourselves and focus only on how we treat others. Well done!
Dont cook with muddy hands.. dont talk about unpleasant things at pleasant moments.
@Lavendersubmarine What an interesting perspective, it is quite thought provoking! Thank you for sharing, and I hope things are well. We're here for you! *sending you positive vibes*
I've learned not to skip over feeling uncomfortable emotions, to be mindful of them and care for them and myself
@xananyax Whoot, way to go! Yes, embracing our feelings is key to managing them as uncomfortable as they are. Well done!
I
@Erra14Worbin Well done! I'm so happy to hear that it is working out for you; it has so many benefits. :)
Hi there everyone!!!
It's me, Platy. This is step 1020 for me! Whoa.
I feel a bit like I did when I finally started writing in my new journal - the most recent new journal for me. That is, I wanted to wait until I had something good to write about, something positive, in order to begin my journal in a positive/good sort of way. Eventually I just began writing in it because (well, for one I didn't have 7cups yet) I finally decided it was better to write *something*! and get my feelings out and on the page, than to keep waiting for the next fun, exciting, or wonderful thing to happen so that I could write about it.
I sort of feel this way now. I passed Step 1000!!!!! then I passed Step 1010. And yet I didn't know what to write for a Milestone post. I still kind of don't know, but hey.
One thing I've been thinking about recently ... (It feels small to me, but maybe it isn't as small as I think!)
I may not ever know what my impact is on another person. And vice versa too. Like the other day I smiled at a stranger and he smiled back - very small interaction, yet I remember it still this moment ... Hmm... A couple of weeks ago, my mentor student showed me the slide show she's been working on about what mentoring is and how she feels about having a mentor and such. I am quite proficient in questioning myself and my relationships and I'd been wondering, Gee do I matter to my student? Am I doing this role of 'mentor' well? Then my now 5th grader read to me her slides of what a mentor is and what a mentor is for and how you can get a mentor for yourself etc etc. It made me feel really good (like really) because she was sharing with me her work yes, but also it felt like her saying, hey I like you, I'm glad you come and see me, and maybe we 'just talk' a lot of the times but that's cool. She is a cool kid. (That makes me sound old!
) So I guess, sometimes it can prove good to ask and try to answer those 'how are we doing' sorts of questions. Other times, the other person may just surprise you and answer your question before you ask!
............................ Just keep swimming, dear ones. Just keep swimming. It's not over yet!

I have become more open about my nudity and confident in my naked body
@helloAvocado428 Well done! It can be difficult to feel comforable in our own skin with our own insecurities. Glad you are becoming comfortable with your body!
