@GlenM that even a small response to a person's post reaching out, can bring comfort on a level that brings some healing, knowing someone hears them. It may take some bravery to make that comment, but it can calm some anxiety for someone to know someone hears them.

I'm on step 12 of my perinatal mood disorder path. I've learned that I need to seek support. Finding the support and help I need is turing out to be harder than expected, but I'm getting done. I have to make it happen.

User Profile: lovelyWhisper66

@Mamakay Congrats on reaching step 12! I am so proud that you recognize the need to get help and support. It is not easy to admit, but you deserve to get help and support to overcome this difficult time. If you haven't already checked it out, we have a perinatal mood disorders forum as part of the brand new Parenting and Pregnancy Subcommunity. You can check it out here.

I wish you the best and know you will get better with time. We are here for you! Best wishes, and have an awesome week.

At my 60 step milestone I've learned how to become calm through breathing and meditating, and also self encouragement (which I still need to work on).

@rachiechu888 Congrats on reaching step 60! I'm glad that breathing and meditation have helped you stay calm. Self encouragment is a struggle for many, but recognizing the need to improve on it is a great first step. We believe in you! Keep up the great work, and have a fantastic week.

It is my choice to look at the sun and not dwell on shadows.

It is not that I CAN NOT talk in groups at the program, it is that I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE talking in groups - but I have a right to talk in them and a right to ask for help in how to talk in grouos....OPPOSITE TO EMOTION ACTION!

@blissedNblessed You continue to show immense self awareness! You do indeed have the right to speak up and reach out for help and support. Group sessions can be challenging, so props to you for making the effort to attend them. Well done, and thank you for sharing!

@blissedNblessed Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear group support didn't work out the way you wanted. I am sure you did what was right for you. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to a listener 1 on 1. Support can come from different sources, and you deserve to be heard and acknowledged. We are here for you! Best wishes, and I know you will get through this.
