I learned that i need to love me more.
@PureOak Yay for self love! Many of us don't spend enough time cherishing ourselves, so kudos to you. Well done, and thank you for sharing!
I've been taught that I'm not alone and people want to help.
@BleedingOuterSpace Welcome to the community! Indeed, finding help is never easy, so I am glad you have found others happy to do so. One never has to feel alone especially on 7Cups. :) Thank you for sharing, and well done!
Im not alone in this
i started walking
@Helenvd Welcome to the community! Indeed, one does not have to be alone if they have the courage to reach out to others. I am glad that you have started walking, and I wish you all the best on your journey. We are here for you! Thanks for sharing, and well done!
120. Learning to stay calm and not neat myself up for not reaching my goals.
@oaktownchick Congrats on reaching step 120! I am glad that you are not being hard on yourself and that you are staying calm. You show awesome persistence and positivity. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
Sometimes it is okay to cry
I am learning to be mindful.
@impartialLychee6279 Crying can be quite relieving! Mindfulness is also helpful as it truly helps calm the mind and body. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
I'm learning to control negative thoughts and ignore some of them now.
@MioYoko Yay, that's awesome you are learning to manage the negative thoughts and even ignore some of them. Negative thoughts are never easy to cope with, so kudos to you. Thank you for sharing, and well done!
I'm at step 70 and have learned lots - I'm also learning that I'm not very good at checking myself and the awareness of this is making me try harder.
My partner is also having issues and we are both starting with 7cups. He wants to take a pause in the relationship to come to terms with his own issues and I am struggling with this. He does want to move the relationship forwards again but says he has to deal with his own stuff first and it could be days, weeks, months or even years. I am struggling to deal with this and feel abandoned in my moment of need
@SwingOfThings Lovely to see you here again! Congrats on reaching step 70; I am glad that you have learnt so much including the need to be more self aware. I am so sorry to hear about what's been happening with you and your partner lately; I can't imagine what you are going through. You are so strong for still being here with us and for reaching out here on 7Cups for support. It is totally understandable that you would feel abandoned, and these things do take time and patience to deal with.
We are here for you! Feel free to reach out to the listeners if you ever need to talk with someone. Thank you for sharing, and I wish you and your partner the best.
@lovelyWhisper66 thankyou. I have faith that everything will work out - I just need to be patient and allow him to heal by himself. It's just upsetting that I need a connection with my healing which has been lost.
We met up today and talked for the first time in a week so at least there is that
@SwingOfThings My pleasure! It is great that you are optimistic, and I agree that things will work out between you two. You show great understanding of what he is going through. Yes, given how significant he is in your life, it must be painful having to cope with this change. I am glad that you two met up recently, so that's nice progress. :)
I've learned to believe in myself. \o/
@Raindrops00 Yay, that's awesome! Believing in yourself can be a challenge, so I am glad to hear of your progress. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
People's attitudes have more to do with them, than me...I read into everything and take things too personally.
@blissedNblessed Many of us certainly do take things too personally, so you are definitely not alone! I am glad that you are self aware of this; it is a sign of great progress! Well done, and thank you for sharing.
