I've learnt my recovery isn't a smooth path, there will be lots of downs as well as ups.

@LittleLotte

Listen love, revovery is a long old haul, but each step, backwards, sideways or fall, is a step, and each step we learn something different, so in my eyes, that's progress, your amazing, keep pushing dear x

@professionalPerspective60 Thank you. I've recently hit some large bumps in the recovery road but I'll find a way over or around them.

I feel a whole lot better when I do not look to other people to determine if I am good enough or if I am worthy. Other people have differet life goals and things going on with themselves that if I wait to accept myself by thier standards - I am doing an injustice to myself and may think I am never good enough when in truth, I am!

@blissedNblessed

SO true! Looking at yourself through someone else's lens is like wearing someone else's prescription glasses.

Step 210: I 've learned that all you need to do when you're feeling depressed is go buy another dog... haha Just kidding... sort of... But for real, I think that I've embraced the thought of getting better. Which is a big step for me to realize that I don't have to be miserable forever, I CAN make progress and I CAN change the way I am and I AM making progress. Right now I'm kind of on the low side of my progress, but It's ok because I know that I can get past this, I have before and I can do it again.

I just want to thank everyone who has been here in the forum posts and the chat rooms and all the listeners and everyone here on this site: without your love and support I wouldn't have realized this and I wouldn't have done it on my own, so thank you all so much! heart
