Since I last posted, I have watched the video about Brian gatecrashing the party.
I suspect I am supposed to have come to the realisation that Brian at the party is a metaphorical concept illustrating how you should learn to ignore or embrace fears instead of hiding from them.
In reality though you would keep Brian out by locking your front door, instead of just letting anyone wander into your house and if he kept coming back, you would call the police and get a court appointed restraining order on him.
So on refelction, I don't know if I have learned anything of value.
@problematic27 I was thinking that Id probably shift if Brian kept turning up like that. :)
Step 60 and ok. Stay in the now
There will be setbacks but small steps daily allow me to move on.
I am not responsible for my husbands suicide attempts or his mental health issues, he chose to leave home and I need to keep moving forward with my own life.
I made it to 60 steps. That is proof that I am taking ownership of my personal development. I have learned that although it is my mind that creates thoughts those thoughts do not define me. Although my body creates uncomfortable sensations, I do not need to be afraid of them.
another milestone yeah me
I
Well I definitely dislike give reasons to someone of why I did or didn't do something. The same goes with saying something or not. I feel it's usually for judge you for what they believe you should or shouldn't do.
Step 120 today and a 96 day streak!
I am learning that the more I reframe when I get negative and focus on all the positives in my life, it starts to become semi automatic in my brain. I am training it to set new patterns. Its not about pretending negatives dont exist, but rather seeing it, either doing something about it, or knowing I can choose to not react to it if not necessary, and moving past it. Will keep practicing this.
