I've learned that my anxious thoughts are always wrong (or exaggerating). I believe them (almost) every time because they play on my fears
I am not completely hopeless and I can be trusted. I can trust people
I can't get better instantly
I am worth it. I deserve to feel better
Be gentle with yourself
my worth is not based on a relationship
things have been pretty hard lately, im feeling petty down.
Im trying :(
@RiverTamer102409 - Keep trying, dear! We're here for you. 7cups listeners, 7cups group chat, or forums like this if you don't want "immediate" feedback :) Just keep swimming, dear RiverTamer! ~ Platy
@GlenM @Laura @Kate - This is step 1260 for me! :) Is there a prize when I get to 1300? 1500?? or maybe 2500?!
Also, today is my cupversary! Yay! I'm three today - LOL.
Something I am learning recently: Relationships are hard. Relationships take work and determination. If you want to remain in a relationship with someone - friends, family, extended family, 7cups friend, people from your religious meeting place, teachers, etc etc - it takes work. Sure I may not have seen my 1st grade teacher for years, but it still rather hurt when I learned (this past summer) that she had died. She was an important person in my life for that year in school, and for most of elementary school also. I won't ever get to tell her now how important she was for me, or how I really liked her idea for how to encourage us to keep going on our math timed tests (addition and subtraction). I cannot now tell her, "Oh and I remember this .... it was fun." Or (insert other fun, wacky, or positive memory here).
Relationships take time. But when you invest time into the relationship, especially one-one time, you get to know the other person better and your relationship becomes stronger.
Something to ponder: Give compliments like you would give Halloween candy; to complete strangers, by the handful!
Dear all 7cups friends - members and listeners, admin and tech gurus, and anyone I don't know yet who's read this far :)
Thank you for being here! Thank you for listening to me well. Thank you for sharing things with me, sometimes things you have not shared with anyone else before. Thank you for your prayers and your real true "How are you?" - even though you know I almost-not-quite hate that question. And, please stay! I've found I can do life better with you guys alongside me than I can do by myself.

I learned that I have to move on and to do not take things personally. Having a positive thoughts is hard specially when you live with a mental illness but you have to do your best and to smile because life is so short.
I am at step 300! I have learned that post traumatic stress disorder has setbacks, but I will continue to seek help and progress in my recovery.
