I've learned that 80% of the things we worry about never happen anyway.

Just reached step 116 on my growth path smiley I'm learning to accept that sometimes I will get lost and fall off my recovery path, and that is okay. As long as I remember that I can get back on again after the wobble. It's not a linear journey. Sometimes its two steps forwards and one step back - but that's still progress!

What I have learned in these recent months is the importance of risk. Yes, not everything deserves a risk and not everyone should be risking it all. A truth that Ive found, though, is that nothing is more deserving of a risk than yourself.

Take a risk on yourself. Take that chance, bet against those odds—put money on yourself. In no way can you lose everything if you decided to have faith in yourself and your goals. It may not play out cleanly or fairly but what matters is that you have expressed belief in yourself.

For much too long I have stuffed myself within the expectations of others. Friends, family, coworkers, strangers on the street. I have tried to become a shadow of who I wanted to be, so I could fit among a dream that was never my own. Ive abandoned my wants and silenced my soul too many times. I am deciding from here to take as many risks on myself as possible.

so far, I have learned to try and focus on the positive instead of dwelling on the negative or letting myself be swallowed up by my worries all day every day. Before I started this I was constantly stressing about things that I needed to do that I had not accomplished.

I just started back on my growth path after awhile, I did a step on forgiveness and realized I have a lot to work on... especially with forgiving myself. I have lived with a denial that I can not change within the environment I live. I need to take more responsibility for how i progress and heal. I have known I have major codependent issues for a long time... changing dynamics with people in the same boat has never been easy. I've hit limitations with others and that mirrored within myself. I have to let go and forgive. I have to put myself first and create a dynamic that I maintain that focus. I recently joined a support group at a church and really hope to find a faith that can help me thru. Forgiveness is the pathway to freedom and inner peace. It's time to stop avoiding and distracting with unhealthy patterns that are not sustainable. Accountability is key and I'm happy to be back at 7cups

i am on step 110, i remember downloading the app in tears not being able to sleep for a whole night, feeling trapped and cant help but get suicidal thoughts, only 6 months ago... i have got the most wonderful listener that night, we are still keeping in touch. i also started meditating regularly around that time. which can be a challenge still but i continue doing it.

today i still have a hard life, i still feel useless time to time and social skills are still a mystery. yet i dont give in to dark thoughts, or bad events. i practice acceptings things as they are, i try not to put more meanings on things than they are. i have a new outlook on life and theres one rule only: dont give up!
