If tears of love, joy and ecstasy have not washed your cheeks, you are yet to taste life.
@pinkPine9506 I have been in such dark place for so long it started to feel like home. I feel so guilty for admitting it.
Step 46! I have learned that it's OK to be defensive to an extent, because defensiveness is a way to defend what I value. However, being overly defensive just makes me look foolish. It's like the sand theory, the tighter you try to hold it the faster it slips through your fingers. Just loosen that grip and while a few grains of sand might still slip through, I can mindfully keep most of those grains and have all the sand I need. ( The sand represents the love I'm trying to hold on to)
@neatThinker2663 I long to understand this
@communicative79
It's like I spend so much time and energy trying to hold on to certain things in my life. I'm afraid that if I don't keep a tight grip, it will get away. But its so stressful, feeling like I could lose everything at any moment. It would be great if I could just relax that grip and appreciate what I have without always being afraid of losing it. Does that explain it any better?
To stop over analyzing the future.
New job, new worries. But no one will stand against the Father. Amen
@GlenM I learned that it isn't inherently "disordered" or "dangerous" to monitor closely what I eat or do so long as I do something healthy, such as working on specific coping mechanisms, with that information.
@GlenM That I could try to fix myself and help myself feel better because that's up to me.
@GlenM I am learning how to challenge my thoughts and this is allowing my mind to become more peaceful.
Im trying to practice mindfulness, learning to accept my thoughts and feelings without prejudice. I havent gotten many steps in yet but certainly have learned a lot thus far.
Step 190
Learnt that it's okay to have off days and okay to be okay
I need to practice graitude everyday
