I always get a little frustrated when I have to write two things I've done well because I don't always see everything I've accomplished, but I'm learning to be more proud of everything I can do.
@SmokeJumper I can understand that frustration! But the fact that you are aware of it and are willing to learn more about yourself is AWESOME :)
i have completed 10 steps on my growth path and i have a lot to be thankful for
@Fro704 That is great to hear :D:D
That sometimes if you sit and just relax that you will feel much better
@sammoscoso Such wise words! Thank you :)
As part of the 48th (?) step, I'm supposed to post one thing I've learned so far.
For me, it's to not take even the smallest of victories for granted. I hugged my bf one more time than normal? Woo! I wiped down the kitchen counters instead of walking by them? Yes!
@Jiggybee WOOP WOOP :):) That is fantastic! Well done! That is so great. :) What a great lesson to have experienced :)
I've just reached step 33. I've learned to direct my mind back on to the task at hand.
@Melonia That is so great to hear! You are doing fantastic work :)
I reached stage 10 and I loved every step
@energeticAvocado124 Yay! :) I am so glad! Thank you so much for sharing! You are awesome :)
Im on step 10 but I really just want a hug
*HUGS*
@erikakme, Wish you all the best for your journey through the growth path
On the short time I've been on this website, I've learnt that acceptance is really the first step towards recovery. Admitting your problems don't make you any weaker.
@Ochres Thank you for sharing! Those are some very powerful words! Keep up the great job and remember you are awesome! :)
I'm on step 14. I've been a member since May, and I created my listener account two days ago. I don't care how late it is at night... had to get this out there. In the past few days it's been rough getting used to this. Comforting people, greeting people, trying to be as helpful as possible through a phone. Well, tonight I had someone who was very upset. I did give this person a link, because I was worried. We starting talking... I tried my best. At the end of the long chat they said, "you helped me so much thank you". Then it hit me... I might of just prevented someone from ending their life. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who makes this app work so lovely. This has changed my life, the person I spoke to... and many more lives to come. Thank you.
*sorry for the long post*
@Vansa Wow! Thank you for this post! I think you have explained what a lot of Listeners go through. And you did an AMAZING job and have proved exactly why we are here! You have made a difference and are awesome! :)
