I've learned, or perhaps am still learning, that accepting the fact that you deserve compassion and caring is perhaps the hardest challenge facing all of us.

I've learned that taking time for myself each day may not seem like a lot at first but it adds up and is important to feeling good about myself. smileyenlightened

I learned that it's okay to make mistakes because it's normal and people can't be good at everything.

Reached #60 today. Haven't connected in a while but i'm having a pretty bad anxious week, i think i should work more to avoid those bad anxiety days, regularity seems to be the key!

I have learned that no matter what happens, how bad things get, what you lose or how far you fall, life will never stop moving. So you may as well put your chin up and keep moving.

So I am having a rubbish time since yesterday afternoon. I found out I have a ganglion in my wrist on the underside which is pushing on a nerve so next year I have to have a surgery to remove it. sad

I have also been put onto my first antidepressant in my life. I have Googled it, fair enough. But like all my other medications, I like to know what the experiences other people have had. So I reached out to my fellow listeners in our rooms but my question was ignored on multiple times. I have never felt so mistreated by my fellow listeners. So hopped over and joined the que hoping to get a listener who knew about the medication, I connected to someone who asked irrelevant questions and took forever to reply so I ended the chat and still got replies 3 hours after that. I took my final resort, the forum. I posted a trigger disclaimer and such. I should have known that the name of the medication would be removed but I am desperate for peer support either from fellow members or my fellow listeners. So I got what Google said on the forum. Which was a bust. I want real people responses, which clearly I'm not going to get here.

I would just leave but I have my member who are relying on me as a listener for support. But I'm not getting any.

Don't get me wrong, I love listening, I find it fulfilling and it makes me happy. Abuse cases are difficult but to know that a person has found someone to lean on makes me happy because I never had it.

So if you find my post in the Depression Support Forum, please just delete it. It serves no purpose.

Yea, this me on day 55 after hitting rock bottom and reaching out for help. I'm considering leaving.
