The Freedom of Forgiveness Thread
Activity: Think of someone who you need to forgive for freeing yourself from the resentment you carry against them. Now type a few words of compassion and forgiveness towards them (don't take their name). You can forgive yourself too.
If uncomfortable doing so, not necessary to participate❤️ You can observe and support others' answers.

I forgive myself for losing my temper today and on multiple occasions in the past, I'll learn better, I promise, I promise, please bear with me😄

You are allowed to grow at your pace and be patient with yourself while you're at it!💛
Hey my used to be coffee!!
You were a lot good to me. I loved your presence. Only your presence was enough. Getting too deep and suddenly acting like a stranger. Does it not hurt you?
I am fine now. But I worry about you. And your loneliness.
I hope you are doing good. I love you for who you are. The kind gentle man! I love you coffee

Hello everyone! Yes, a lot of people think forgiving is letting the offending person walk all over you and it's not. It's actually helping you so you don't carry around resentment and bitterness which makes you miserable and depressed. Forgiveness and trust are two entirely different things. You can forgive the offending person but you don't have to trust them or be around them until they show signs and actions that they are truly sorry for what they did. It is a difficult emotional path to learn but well worth it.
@pineapplepeanut a valuable insight on forgiveness! forgiveness and trust aren't the same and should be seen as two separate things🍪
I forgive myself. I forgive myself for being so hard on me.

I feel, self-forgiveness is harder than forgiving others, so yay you for taking this brave step. Super proud of you!💛
This means a lot.
I am a very big problem when it comes to this.
I have been told countless times, I know within myself as well, I do not forgive easily, I try as much as possible not to hurt anyone, so why then do they have to hurt me? So, I rather say goodbye to them forever, set a boundary or even say that goodbye forever cause I may not be so good with setting boundaries afterall. One thing I know for sure is I hold grudges against people so so much, and I don’t forgive.
Thanks for this message so much. I have being told to always forgive and let whatever hard feelings I have against these people go, with this post, I feel even more happier and ready to let go and forgive these people.
- Thanks for being a good friend, but your bad as a friend did more harm to me, you said a lot behind me, made me look like an idiot in midst of people, but today, I forgive you completely, I do not want anything with you anymore but I honestly forgive you. I wish you the best in life.
- Currently, you’re pissisng me off and it looks like you’re extorting from me badly, but it’s just a matter of time, I forgive you even if you hurl insults at me just because I figured you were kind of extorting me, and I didn’t want to do that anymore. I was a great friend to you, you were like a parasite in my life, so late I didn’t figure that fast. I forgive you today, but I don’t want you in my life anymore after this.
- To those I don’t remember that hurt me, to those I remember that they hurt me and to those that is likely to hurt me in the future. I forgive you all.
