Honouring E-Dude
On 13th September 2014, 7 Cups gained one of its most beloved and articulate voices, an incredible listener, a passionate speaker and a devoted friend.
Exactly a year later, @EmpatheticDude reaches his first Cups birthday, and Id like to take a moment to sit back and consider the impact that hes had here, as a mentor, as a friend, as a clear and true voice in the forums. I could talk about the hundreds of chats, the glut of amazing reviews, the fantastic forum posts. There's his sense of loyalty and strength of conviction, his wicked sense of humour, his desire to go above and beyond in all that he does. Head here to read some of those glorious reviews.
Naturally, this milestone wasnt going to go by quietly (good thing some of us notice these things) and a few people wanted to share some warm wishes and fond memories. Before we get to the main event, Im going to take a personal detour through some of my favourite forum posts of his, from the informative to the insightful, to the just plain weird. @EmpatheticDude, helping (very little help on my end, the Lovely @Lyra did the heavy lifting) with this and reading all the messages people wrote about you, hearing everyone's views about you, seeing what you do for the community and going through all your posts/podcasts, has convinced me of how amazing and awesome you are. (Downright hilarious as well)
Though I've said it once before, Happy 1 year Cuppaversary, you deserve the love, and much more, really.
I already look upto you for being bold and wise and I hope someday I can imbibe some of your qualities.

I'm sheepish about birthdays, because I feel like I should be honoring you all for enriching my life. Bless you all, and while you celebrate me, I will celebrate you, and express my sheer joy at being here, my luck and gratitude for this magical place where so many amazing people have come into my life. Truly, I can't say enough about you, and about the opportunity I've had to be here. All of you, and 7 Cups, helped give my life meaning and purpose during a very rough year. Having the chance to be here and make so many friends, members--all of whom are my teachers, my mentors, was the greatest gift.
