That's my birthday too! My family usually tries to make a big deal of it, then ends up arguing and the whole day becomes a screaming match. I don't hink I've ever not cried on my birthday, but I still stay optimistic. This year, I'm spending my birthday with a friend and I'm not doing anything special, I don't want any expectations to put a damper on my day, and my advice to you is to do the same. Don't expect anything and instead leave your eyes open for all the small wonderful things that will happen. Who knows, maybe you'll see a really pretty flower, or get a good present, or maybe the sunlight will be just right in the morning. Try your best to devote your time to finding the simplest beauties in the day, that's what always helps me <3
@Lucario27 awww thanks that really helped , my parents hardly ever remember it's my birthday unless I tell them and I did have one friend who was willing to spend my birthday with me but he decided he didn't want to be friends anymore so it looks like I'm spending the day at home as usual . I will take your advice though over the years I learned not to expect any presents but I will try appreciate the smaller things also , Happy birthday !!! I hope you have a great day !
