Feeling special
I was having a chat recently with a co worker about hire nice her nails were.
She was telling me that she uses ones you buy in the store and glue on.
I proceeded to tell her about a story when I was in 7 th grade, where I had false nails on, we had to play volleyball in gym class. When I went to hit the ball, a few of my nails popped off ( it hurt so bad!!!) Quite a few kids starting yelling “her nails fell off. Holy crap. Is she ok” thinking it was my real ones. I was mortified, went to the nurse and asked to go home “sick “.
She just came to my house and dropped off some nails with a little note “time to give these another try”
i just felt so special and loved. And appreciated. Like someone cares. I can’t wait to do some self care!!!

That is awesome how your friend came through for you in a bad moment. It must have been weird and maybe embarrassing when you nails came off and the other students freaked out thinking they were your real nails. That would weird me out too. We all need a friend like yours. I am happy you have one.
Must be nice, too bad all the nurses I had were awful towards me with snotty *** attitudes. All the nurses and techs in the psych ward ignored me while I was screaming and crying throwing anything I could find, no empathy or compassion, I constantly screamed at them and they're lucky I didn't hit them because I definitely would've if I stayed longer. The nurses at the doctor's office were fine, school nurses were stupid and ***.
