If you met your 10 year old self, what would you say?
I had a kind of thought provoking question and I would love to hear what you guys have to say.
I think I would tell myself to never lose sight of who I am and who I aspire to be.
Let me know what you would say to lil baby you.
don't let go of your innocence
don't let go of your spark
I could tell myself about the upcoming pandemic I guess, and possibly scare them because they didn't know they're a boy at that point. Probably. Idk, guess I never will know
I would tell myself that it wasn't my fault. That i was abandoned and didn't have the parents I should have or the care a child needed and that I couldn't save everyone and play hero And I would Tell myself that I love myself because at 10 years or and younger I never heard those words!
I would tell my 10 Yr old self to believe in themselves. Not much different from what I tell my present self. I was always a self doubting worrier.
I would say nothing at all. Just meeting the current me would be enough for him to take the hint that everything will eventually turn out fine through the natural selection. So I'll just probably hangout with him and play games I guess.
I would say don’t settle. Don’t let your fear win and never lose yourself.
I would probably hug and rock them and go to therapy with them but. I got vibid fantasies about going back to past and "fixing everything" but the thing is Im unlearning that now cause that could never happened. Im learning to accept past as something I could never change, as something that just happened. And Im slowly learning to change and do good things in the present instead of escaping into fantasy.
What I would tell my 10 year old self:
- It’s normal to feel all that you’re feeling.
- You always made sense. People were just too sensitive to figure that out.
- You were always brilliant!
- Everything happens for a reason
- You should’ve been more active in school stuff so you would be able to meet people
- The hardships of learning another language really paid off in the end
Don't eat the spicy fish curry on your friend's sister's wedding...
Now, on a serious note, i would tell my younger self to not let his pride come in the way of making friends and that to nurture interests eventhough they are "trendy/sheepish". Staying relatable to most of the people creates easy way to connect to them, and last but not least, having a broad set of friends are far greater than just sticking with a niche group of friends.
