Sending lots of love to you! ❤️
Hello dear
@Takhleeya
To be honest, I don't have any ongoing hobbies right now. I guess you could say I gave up on most of them along the way. Life happened. Energy shifted. But I still carry passions, things that give me a sense of purpose, completion, and even healing.
One of those is reading, especially the kind of bookd that blows my mind wide open. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of well-crafted words. How letters, when strung just right, can express emotions too complex for casual speech.and i try to write from that place ( the bottom of an ancient, sometimes troubled soul ) and shape the words into something that resonates, something that maybe gives a reader the feeling that they’re not alone in what they feel or think.
Talking about career, there’s a part of what I do that feels deeply fulfilling. I’m often handed a dull, empty space just like a blank canvas, and I get to use my vision and imagination to turn it into something festive, beautiful, and alive. A venue where others can celebrate, gather, and create memories. I love looking back at the finished work, even if most of the physical execution is done by others. The ideas and the concepts (whether original or inspired ) are part of me, and that makes it feel meaningful.
Lately, my newest “hobby” is wandering through this community . reading, listening, and supporting strangers who are brave enough to share their truth. There’s something powerful about silent empathy, unexpected connection, and the simple act of being present for someone you'll probably never meet in person.
Maybe hobbies don’t always have to be things we do with our hands. Sometimes, they’re the things that quietly keep our hearts alive.
Thank you for sharing and welcome to our little universe. Lets talk !
@Oldsoul1618 that was wonderful, i like ur thought, and yes it's not a thing that comes in hobby but could be anything we like.
Would love to know abt the books u have read and u felt more better version of self after reading that ,
@Takhleeya Im glad you liked what i shared .
Lets see about books ....
1984 by george orwell is on top for sure .
The brothers kramazov, Crime and punishment or anything by dostoevsky will change your awarness, the wretched of the earth by frantz fanon will always be in my heart, the Metamorphosis by kafka too, The crowd by gustave Le bon and the rebel by camus are true education .
I guess these kind of books , i like many other authors but these are worth mentioning the most.
Wish you all the best .
@takhleeya Your art is really good. My 18-year-old daughter is talented at different art forms and I am in awe, but I think it skipped a generation as I did not get that gene.
I have so many hobbies but not enough time to to enjoy them fully. I enjoy reading and love the library. I like walking, biking, traveling, learning, history, culture, languages, gardening and cooking . I don't really spend much time still working with my hands, but I have tried crocheting and love making cute little amigirumi stuffed animals. I have even made coffee cups. I have done cross stitching as a kid and I really enjoy it and wish I had time for it. I tried refinishing furniture for a time. It was fun and I learned a skill, but it's probably not the hobby for me.
I think the best way to describe me would be that I am a Jack of all trades "hobbies" but a master of none. And it doesn't help that a lot of amazing tools are out there now like Duolingo for learning languages among others, it's just so hard to choose!
@reservedOwl321 ❤️❤️
@reservedOwl321 ohh MaashaaAllaah!! Are very talented! U have done alot of creative things, and very useful. I really like knowing abt ur multitask, i would really like to see ur Crochet work, and something u like to share as well.
And btw, What books u really liked?
And as we come to maturity level. Our hobbies change, moods change, task change, i like enjoying everything by time . We learn new skills new abilities to explore world.
Thank you @Takhleeya I don't know that I am talented, but I tend to have a lot of energy and I enjoy keeping busy .
I thought of this site 7cups when I mentioned my coffee cup. The coffee cup looks similar to this Crochet/amigurumi Pattern Coffee Cup With Latte Art PDF Instant Download - Etsy https://share.google/u3AjBWkPpKRDN6AaS
I crocheted those years ago when I had younger children and I don't know where my crotcheted toys ended up. I still have a collection of patterns that I liked in my files, but like you said, interests change over time as does life circumstances.
Building a second brain was a helpful non-fiction book I read recently. For fiction the Davinci code by Dan Brown is a favorite . I also like young adult books like Harry Potter more than a lot of adult fiction. I think I am still a kid down deep. For travel I like the places to before you die books. I am looking for a Spanish book that is not too difficult now. I read and listen to books. What genre do you prefer?
I read when I work out. I love e books, but other than that I can't multitask very well. One thing at a time. One day at a time. I'm just old I guess and I've dabbled in many hobbies this far.
@reservedOwl321 that's really nice , I appreciate ur job.
I like more motivational books or wise Historical Quotations, i like writing as well sometimes. It feels good to express our thoughts.
As we get older , we get more experiences, but our inner child always want time to let it feel joy. And really it's the only thing sometimes we feel happiness while being into childish activities or stuff.
Im 30 and i play with toys sometimes. Watching cartoons 😄 . Or playing games.
It's quite enjoyable.
