Let's talk about Toxic Positivity to understand the Opposite: The Real Positivity:
- "it's okay to not be okay." It isn't realistic to be okay all the time. Remind yourself that if someone doesn't feel okay, that's perfectly acceptable.

- When someone expresses a difficult emotion, don’t shut them down with toxic positivity. Instead, let them know that what they are feeling is normal and you are there to listen.
- Remember that it is normal and healthy to feel all of your emotions—the good and the bad.

My understanding: When you aren't really feeling good, but force yourself to appear good, that's toxic positivity. When you acknowledge emotions (good or bad) and take your time to process those emotions, so that you may manage and direct them to a creative direction, that's real positivity!

Please do not overcomplicate this life more by understanding what to say. & What not to say..
I guess it is accepting and welcoming your feeling like clouds. Understanding that the storms will pass, but they will also come back. Being positive is just trying your best, understanding that was your best regardless of how things turn out. I think it’s really hard to maintain a positive mindset 24/7 (or like for five minutes lol), but that’s what I believe in.

but to answer the question… my idea of real positivity is being realistic but hopeful for positive outcomes.
Real positivity is hopefulness without ignoring the circumstances.
