Things Lifelong Learners Wish You Knew
If this is part of your life story, please share your insights! What would you like the rest of us to learn? What should we know about people in this community? How would you like people to interact with you? Should people ask questions? What’s the best way for people to learn about this? Do you have any resources (books, movies, YT videos, etc) that will give us greater understanding and empathy and kindness toward people who experience the same things you do?
If you’re not on this journey, we welcome you to listen, learn, and ask respectful, good-faith questions! Open-ended questions are highly encouraged, as they give people the space to share their unique experiences in their own words. While this is a safe space to learn about things you’ve never experienced, please remember to be sensitive, and avoid sharing harmful stereotypes or debating someone's lived reality. If you have a question, ask it with empathy. If someone gently corrects you, please be open to learning. Let's have a gentle, fun, friendly conversation where we support one another, because it takes all sorts to make a world!

I’m adding a taglist to start, but this post is open to absolutely everyone! <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 thanks for tagging me 💗
Lifelong learners never need worry about peaking early or having obsolete knowledge later on. Every day has something for us, whether we seek it out or not. It's a great way to never end up becoming your parents, and it's the only way that I can truly stand a good chance against my depression. Our potential for discovery is infinite, so why not make things an adventure?
What have you been learning about lately? <3
Various things. 😁 I've been spending a lot of time learning Japanese and checking out music artists. I'm thinking of learning non-American history, and I don't know where to start.
Check out the Renaissance! It’s my favvvvvv all kinds of art and science, it was basically Italy discovering accident Greek knowledge and expertise! (On that note: Ancient Greece)
Those ones are tempting. 😁 I know a bit about the Renaissance, but it could be fun to go deeper into. Ancient greece possibly even more so.
Ooh you could go to a Renaissance fair <3
Heheh, I've been to those quite a few times. They're lots of fun. 😁

What does that mean, lifelong learners?
People who LOVE learning, and continuously seek out new knowledge and discoveries, even beyond their school years and college lives <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Ah, okay. Thanks for clarifying 🤍
I love learning all the things, my head is a mess, I plan to learn every language and expect world domination jk (:
But seriously, you collect some of the weirdest things in your head and random words remind me of facts that I half-remember and have to track down again bc otherwise the word will get stuck in my head like a song
Also there’s always music playing but that’s prob just me/unrelated
🎶 would you be my friend if I told you that I died years ago? Would you be my friend if I never told a lie? Some things are hard to hear thoooo🎶
(At the cemetery, Madilyn mei and cloudkissed)
Whoa *achieve
I really need to proofread these things
I can totaly relate with the song bit😭✌
Like I started learning madrian because of one yt kids video my litle baby brother was watching.It was twinkle twinkle in Madarian🤧
It was on repeat for several weeks🌚
Thanks kiara for this👻
My lovely prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said:
"Seek knowledge, from cradle to the grave"
It is the most productive and fun thing to do.And we all do learn throught our lives😜
But some do more the others and beliver me you would want to be in the "some" category
As a polyglot and neophile I can confidently say that just by learning a language you can unlock a whole new universe of knowledge and discover a culture and lastly,not fall for myths and sterotypes😎
@jesusredeemedme2425 Love this ^-^
