Hi everyone! Music is something that always makes me a bit happier when I'm feeling down. What are some feel good songs you guys listen to to calm down or just increase your serotonin levels? I've been listening to "Midnights" by Taylor Swift a lot lately because it's such a chill and relaxing album. :)

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou YAYYY YOU'RE A SWIFTIE TOO! Midnights is now my favorite Taylor Swift album. Snow on the Beach is probably favorite, but Mastermind and Anti-Hero are close behind for second and third!

@BlueSkies1021 Runaway Baby (Bruno Mars), Beautiful Girls (Sean Kingston), Call me maybe (Carly Rae Jepsen), Heart Attack (Demi Lovato), London Bridge (Fergie), Love Story (Taylor Swift), Superbass (Queen Nicki)

To be honest the last one made me sad many years ago, as I was the only one in my friendship group that didn't know ALL the lyrics to the rap but I soon got over that when I listened to it on repeat lol

What a nice thread :)

Mmmh I'm thinking of a few songs: "Sunflower"- Post Malone; "Brividi" -Mahmood, BLANCO (it's an Italian song, I suggest you listen to it, you won't regret it); also "Stay"- The Kid LAROI, Justin Bieber.

Also "Il Diario degli errori"- Michele Bravi (another Italian song, from the Sanremo music festival)

@BlueSkies1021

I have some songs I use to uplift me when work becomes overwhelming and I need a break.

1. Bill Withers, "Lovely Day."

2. NuShooz, "I Can't Wait."

3. The Brothers Johnson, "Stomp."

4. Robbie Dupree, "Steal Away."

5. Bryan Adams, "Run To You."

6. Earth, Wind, & Fire, "September."

7. The Whispers, "Rock Steady."

8. The Spinners, "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love."

9. The Whispers, "And The Beat Goes On."

10. Jermaine Stewart, "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off."

You probably don't recognize any of these songs as I am much older than most people here on Cups. But they are my go to songs.

No singing required here. I'd go for Bach's Brandeburg Concerto no.5, First Movement, Haendel's Chaconne in D, most of Vivaldi's work and the Peter Street reel

Hi there! ♪(*^▽^*)

A few songs that help me feel calmer include, but are not limited to:

“Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears” by Celtic Woman

“Coffee” by Beabadoobee

“The End of the World” by Skeeter Davis

I know that the last one is actually a sad song, but some personal background: my bestie spontaneously slow-danced with me to this song when I was having a serious panic attack some time ago. (And the dude has NEVER danced as far as I know, so this moment means a lot to me.) The beat of the song combined with the rocking movement of slow-dancing helped calm me down quickly. Hehe.
