Why we help strangers without get anything

@Tulipsmile I'll speak for me and why I choose to help others. Though we may be technically be strangers, that does not matter to be. When I have the desire to help others, who I know vs who I don't does not play a factor. I believe people were put here to be of service to others and that's our purpose. What can we do for someone else? What can we do to think of others? Helping others looks different for all of us. So while, my 1-1 chats with members may not be super high, I know I still offer support the best way I can. It could be through the chat rooms or forums. It doesn't matter. My helping is just not limited to PMs and "listening". That's why I have do my roles, participate in the peer appreciation program making graphics, do my personalized crafts for people and snap a picture, etc. I'm not limiting myself in a way I show kindness and love for complete strangers. ♡ I wouldn't say I don't get nothing out of helping strangers because I've come to meet many amazing people on here that has touched my heart and life. I treat and interact each member differently because they are all. Some I am gentle with, some with "tough love", others I can be playful with in the rooms. Hugs upon hugs and just a good time. And some just a smile and kindness as that comes a long way. We all have our battles we face and we are all at different points in life. It brings me joy bringing joy to others and I love doing it. 7cups is not the only thing I volunteer for but it has played a big part in my life. I feel like anyone who desires to help people owe it to themselves to try and explore if it is for them. Helping others is a beautiful thing. I appreciate everyone who gives selflessly of themselves for others to help make the world a kinder place. ♡

To prove I'm not a monster. Because I have this cursed ability to read peoples emotions with a glance, and the only way I feel something is by feeling what the people around me are feeling. If they feel happy, then I am happy, so I will attempt to make them happy. Because I'm not a monster

Maybe just to find peace in the fact that the things that slow me down are not exclusive to myself and that people are dealing with a lot more. Maybe just to question life, "Are you not entertained?" And definitely to meet amazing people from all across the globe and learn a few insights from them so I can eventually become better! Best...

Helping others brightens my day because I get to know that I probably made their day better. Also, I'm bad at interacting with others so any conversation with a stranger makes me feel a slight accomplishment. Even if it's something super trivial, like holding open a door. Something else is that it's just the right thing to do and you don't need a reason for it. Have a good day!

For me, I don’t think that there’s nothing for me to gain when I’m helping a stranger. Just seeing how much I’ve helped that person or how happy I made them by simply taking that bit of time out of my day, I find to be very worth it. Overall, it also boosts my own self-esteem and general mentor health so in some ways it can be selfish for me to help others?? I just kind of like the affirmation and appreciation that I get from it, and reminds me that my actions do have an effect on other people. And all this inspires me to keep doing these acts.
