Optimistic October
Wow another month has passed, which means its time for a new calendar! This month its all about being optimistic

There's alot of goals I've been avoiding :( I haven't even fully written down and organized chapter 1 notes...
But I know for sure there won't be any more avoiding tomorrow morning.
Right now I will read some more Chapter 1 and 2
Also, I haven't cleaned in MONTHS at least... So before I sleep I will have done 15 minutes of picking up clutter
This looks like fun! Ill be joining in for the rest of October.
Make progress on a goal Ive been avoiding? Hm, thats funny because I actually started this last week! I used to run a lot, and Ive been wanting to get back to this. I was in physically better shape and it helped me emotionally/mentally too.
Last week I began trying to run again, and Id like that to continue. I got home a little bit ago and did 4.5 miles today!! Yay for progress :)
As it happened, a project landed in my lap that I had hoped to avoid. Looks like I will have to get to that. Oh well...
I heard on the radio that today, Oct 8, is National Octopus Day. That brightened my day! I love my octopus, even though he is pickled.
@Offmytrack
maybe we should bookmark Octopus Day for a celebration next year?
@Offmytrack Gosh the timing of that must of meant to be, hope it went well?
@fluffyUnicorns84 In an octopus's garden, with you.
Good intentions of people: I was stuck at work, and my managers kept pointing out all the "spots" I missed. I should see it only as an opporunity to grow, not as something constant, because I can fix it. The managers just want to shape me to be more efficient, and do good.
This morning I...: I sat in bed to journal, and studied for exams. I took my time eating breakfast.
A problem I'm facing: Feeling betrayed by listeners I've connected with, never being available. All I need to do is understand their busy, doing the own thing, and I need to do my own thing. I am my friend. I have myself to lean on. I'm never alone.
12th: No point in pointing fingers. No one is to blame. Life is a journey. Has it's ups, has it's downs. No point in getting stuck in the past. You are doing the best you can. You are already moving where you need to; forward.
Currently, it's 9am. Wanting to go back to sleep, as I have the luxury to do so, today. Have the night shift at work today. I'll update if there's any hardships throughout the day, and try to center myself, stepping back to access and accept. Life isn't perfect. Honestly, deep down, I'm nowhere near healed, but I keep faking it till I make it. I am in pain. (Women's time of the month). I just always debate the point of living whenever this time of month comes. Getting all moody. I don't want to face my friends or family. I really should meditate and learn to step back.
Oops I missed a few days, being sick and life being busy does not really go together haha.
So things I am looking forward to :
- Completing the first baby massage class sessions I have lead myself (and everyone leading to that)
- Hopefully gaining baby massage qualification (pending assessment)
- Going to the beach tomorrow & some days out in the sunshine with the dogs before it says goodbye for the winter completely
- Rest of the volunteer course I am supporting with the young people. Its amazing how kids from school that have dropped/kicked out are so different out in the open and giving them some respect.
- crafting in front of the fire on cold days
- My dad returning to Australia on thursday , (long story)
- Cupsgiving here on 7cups
