What To Do To Maximize Happiness!

A BIg "Ello" from Obs,
Hope you're doing well. Appy Holidays
I spent a lot of time worrying about different things. Worrying about my Grades, worrying about what others will think of me? worrying about career, life, home, car, health and what future holds for me?
All the time, mind engaged with so many thoughts. What will happen if I fail? What will happen if I get rejected? What will happen if my idea not work?
If I would get 90%, then others will be pleased, I'll be happy. Got 87%! Oh no!
how others will think of me? Felt unhappy.
What IF.. kept me worrying. It led to high level of stress, annoyance, frustration, hopeless and so on. What I missed by spending time on such thoughts? Moment of Joy! Moment of Happiness.
So, when there are goals, expectations, and Analysis of each and everything, mind keeps thinking about everything. What a waste! No time to be happy.
Now, I get up in early in morning and go for walk, what a beautiful view around. Lived a moment of joy.
Did workout. Yay, looking fit. Felt good and happy.
Wow! I am living in TODAY. This is my day and I'll going to live this day.
Yesterday was filled with struggles and made mistakes. Learned from those and ready to be better.
Future? It never comes. It is always PRESENT.
So, Open the PRESENT and feel the joy of having the present with you. Love it, Laugh and Live it at best of yourself.
Today, you have a New day, a Hope, a Vision to Accomplish something. Some ideas. You have bread and butter. You have someone who cares for you.
So, live with PRESENT.

you are absolutely right. but there are many people those who are unable to do this because they dont have enough time or they are in so much pressure . so my question is how can they became happy?
@debojyoti011 For me, it was DBT that helped me make the most progress. It helps you live smal moments of release and joy :-) (dbtselfhelp.com) Good luck!!!!
@ASilentObserver Wow obs, I can relate. It's hard when we want to please people, we always feel like anything we do isn't always enough and that we always have to be always at the top, for them to be proud of what we've achieved. It makes us not to be contented with what we have and we've done. I'm proud of you that the realization hits you and now you're working towards your own happiness and contentment. That's great! c: Hmm, on the other hand, the present I have in the present is that I've managed to forgive my old best friend and myself. It was truly heartbreaking when I had to end the friendship with her because I was too jealous of what she has and blaming her for not being there when I needed her but now, I've learned that I have to let go of the past and we can still work on and fix our friendship. I need to be aware that people will always have shortcomings and flaws and that nobody is really perfect. It's okay to commit mistakes but the thing is we'd always know how to forgive.
@ASilentObserver ouch expectations hurt! Sorry for your painful experience. But we love you either way, 87 ror 90! <3
For me accepting the cold weather means I am not feeling so vulnerable to feeling down. Yayyyyy for now!
To be happy I spend time with myself, looking after myself and my body by keeping it healthy every day. I also make sure I spend time appreciating others and just being with them. I like to think about how far I have come, and seek guidance from others.

Hi BlueSkyDay1911,
I enjoy my neighborhood as well. I walk near a lake. I see many birds and flowers. I take pictures of beautiful things along my walk and send those pictures to my children to brighten up their day. My latest picture happiness is going to parks in my city and taking a set of pictures. I send those as well. Had a staycation.....exercise, parks, and out to dinner/lunch for 7 days. It was a great venture.
@loyalDay5445 That sounds delightful. You really find joy in living.
String those little joyful moments together and you have so much to be happy about. :-) Great post!!!
