❤ How are you doing today? - Not good.
❤ What advice would you like to give yourself as you begin the New Year? - Just take it slow and do what you need to do!
@Starmedia
1. I'm good. I have been having a headache the last couple of hours. But I just need to drink more water.
2. Be confident in every step you take and every move you make! You are awesome! You can overcome any obstacle! Make sure you work hard on school and life. If you do so, you can achieve great things!
@avahenrie123
Great advice! I've been working on getting into the habit of thinking about failure as "another piece of data so I can rework my approach and experiment some more."
This new mindset has really helped with my thoughts around obstacles.
Happy new year! <3
❤ How are you doing today?
Well. Hard start, but now that I'm at work I'm feeling good. Super long day today but it's better than too little work. I'm lucky to like my jobs.
❤ What advice would you like to give yourself as you begin the New Year?
"Remember a year ago when you were dreaming of one day being where you are now.
There is a lot you love about the life you built. Even with all the darkness."
Hello @nordurnStar !
Aw, I am sorry you had a hard start and long days can be tiring, but I am glad you are feeling good and like your jobs. And, that's a wonderful advice and a reminder to self. I hope the life you're building for yourself is filled with love, happiness and blessings.
Stay strong and keep building!
When a man or women genuinely loves you, you will never be the same again. Love is an attribute of God's character and grace. When we love someone, we are initiated into one of the greatest riches of God grace, blessings, bestowed to mankind. When we truly love, we participate in one of God's greatest joy, mesmerizing and beautiful. We then have a glimpse of what God has called humans to enjoy and be enriched with, but foolish human beings tell God: no, we don't want love but lust and physical attraction. Love is the greatest misused word in our culture. People say they love someone, and they end up killing them. That simply tells you they don't understand the true meaning of love. We really have to come back to the original meaning of love emanated from God. Love is deep and profound. Love is not physical attraction; yes you could be physically attracted to someone, but love goes beyond that. Love is not money, fame, or sex: love goes beyond that. Love in our society is equated with sex, money, physical attraction: thin and sexy men and women. Genuine and true love transcend beyond these flimsy attributes, and more. You see men and women marry for all kinds of ulterior motives: money, sex appeal, physical attraction, and more. Then after awhile, the marriage crumbles. It is these major reasons marriage rarely lasts in our culture. It is erroneous concept of love. Love remains the noblest gift God gave humanity to enjoy a tiny part of His Character for "God is love". Love is not human attribute. When a man or women loves each other, yes you might be drawn to that women or man by his physical attribute, but that which keeps you in the relationship is the character exhibited by both parties. When a women genuinely loves a man or a man loves a women, it is mesmerizing. You deeply respect and appreciate each other; you think about them constantly: you want to do the best for them; you want to lift them high and help them reach their destined goals in life; you pray and forgive them if they hurt you; you want to be there for them at all times; you don't count wrongs; anything that gives them joy and peace is your deepest concern. Physical attraction, sex or money alone can't sustain genuine intimate and sexual love in marriage. These are God's characteristics of love. These are God's qualities that he gave humanity to enjoy a tiny bit of his character when we love someone. When we genuinely love someone, we delve beyond the physical realm, and exhibit these traits of God's character. That is why love is the greatest event in human life that God gave to humanity, associated with redemption or salvation. It is beautiful; it is special; it is relaxing; it is joyful and peaceful. Poets and writers have tried for centuries to capture and express love; people all over the world have died and faded off because they could not see or feel or touch their loves ones again. It is not agape love; it is not phileo love, it is kind of love that God made between a man and a women drawn towards each other for marital relationship; to have a glimpse of heaven where it was originated. Those who truly love ascend to heaven, and witness a little bit what it will be like in heaven.
@Kadence2009
this was enlightening to read and really made me think. thank you for sharing!
@lumieremilkyway
awe, thank you!
Hello @Kadence2009 !
Yes! There is a huge difference between attraction and love. Love is much more than physical attraction, lust, money, appearance, status, background, culture and race as well as it's one of the most misued word. Love is definitely vey deep, beautiful, and profound. I totally agree with your view of Love and it was wonderful to read your thoughts. Thank you so much for expressing.

Keep loving and stay blessed!
❤ How are you doing today?
I am doing quite well today, it has been pretty hard to do most things for now but I am trying to be easy on myself.
❤ What advice would you like to give yourself as you begin the New Year?
I would like to remind myself that it's okay to have a different degree of my best every single day, every single moment. sometimes my best is getting out of bed, sometimes my best is helping my friends after knowing I am well enough for it, sometimes my best is crying and letting it all out. they're all different and they vary in their degrees but that's the best I can do that day and I should respect it because at least I am doing something that was hard for me. even if no one else sees it, I should know that I do and sometimes that's more than enough.
Hello @lumieremilkyway !
Sometimes things can get difficult, I understand. I am glad you are being easy on yourself and feeling quite well. And, that's a really good reminder, your best can differ every day and that needs to respected. We all go through different struggles, and others may not be able to relate or may find it difficult to understand, but it's okay your are putting your efforts, you are aware of it and you are totally enough.
There is so much more in you than you know, Stay Strong!
@Starmedia
1) I am feeling good 🙂
2) Since all most all are working from home, I suggest to use this opportunity to transform into fresh mode like bringing back to shape your body by doing workouts and upgrade your skills so that you feel more confident

Depression. That word we throw around so easily nowdays. That word we use to describe anything from a bad day to an overwhelming inability to live life. But as anyone with depression knows, it is much more than any one word can describe. It slowly takes over a person's life to the point where they forger how it all began. It is insidious, creeping up and building up over time. Little, unnoticeable things change at first, leading to bigger changes. Then, as if out of the blue, that famous black cloud is overhead. Depression is when everything feels too hard. When you feel so low that things you previously enjoyed no longer hold that same joy. You wonder how you ever enjoyed anything at all. You wonder what other people have that you can't get a hold of. You find it harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning. You drag yourself through each day. You find it difficult to go to bed at night. The low is so low that it seems to take over, overwhelming you in a way that you could not have imagined beforehand. The effort to do the small things is huge. The pressure to anything is even bigger. People always say you should talk to someone, tell someone, but how do you put words on something so hard to even understand yourself? How do you explain to someone that you want to live your life but also you don't know how you can? How do you explain that this no longer feels like a choice, that it controls you not the other way around? Depression is initially a reaction. A reaction to a life that you never imagined would be yours. A reaction to stress and a seeming inability to change your situation. It is an-acceptance of how things are or were. It is lack of self-care and a giving too much of yourself to others. It is a deep anger at an injustice or unfairness in life. It is a lack of energy to take any more of what life has for you. It is a deep sadness and regret. It is all of this and much more. We are not always aware of why it happens because of how slowly and quietly it sneaks up on us. For anyone reading this that can relate to all or some of what has been written, it is no good for me or anyone else to try and make you get help. Yes, at the early stages of depression or mild depression things like getting out for a walk, doing something you enjoy or talking to a friend can help. But with a longer-lasting, deeper depression all of these things can feel too hard. This is also what makes it so hard to come out of it alone. Firstly, there needs to be an acceptance that depression is a part of your life for now. An allowing of your depression to be there. Own up to it for yourself. With depression it is counterprductive to keep pretending to be okay. Secondly, allow yourself the time needed to get through this; it does take time. There is no magic cure, but as slowly as it developed, it can slowly get better. Before depression it was hard to imagine what you are going through now, just as now it is hard to imagine feeling better. But don't allow not being able to imagine a better future put you off making changes now. Thirdly, as impossible as it seems to do, you need to get help from somewhere, be it your doctor, a professional or that person that is always there trying to urge you out of this. None of these people will do it perfectly, but they will support you, and you need to allow that to happen. There is always resistance, and sometimes the biggest battle can be making that choice to allow other to help. Finally, I hope this gets easier for you. I hope you find a way out of this. I hope you get that sense of control back. Lots of people have been through depression and come out of the other side. I hope you can find someone who understands what you are going through. Hope is one of those things that disappears with depression, so for now I will hope for you until you find that hope again for yourself :)
Hello @Kadence2009 !
All that you have written about Depressions sounds very deep, meaningful, personal and genuine. It must be really difficult to go through it and even more difficult to feel stuck. Thanks for explaining so much in detail, I truly appreciate the intention and thought behind this.
Stay strong, and stay hopeful.
