My, oh my! 😳 You are quite brilliant my sweet friend! 😊 I sat here in front of this screen and read that quote three times over. It's interesting when we truly listen to others and then we think, and think deeply about what it was that was said to us. When we truly listen for the sake of listening as opposed to not truly listening and instead, simply spending the time in an effort of formulating a response.
It can be fascinating to truly "hear" another and to consider the deeper meaning to it all. For me, that's when it's evident that we truly care. ❤️
Reminds me of something I think of often "Sometimes we look through the branches when we should be digging at the roots".

The context that I used it in was to support another that was feeling as if "but I only do just this" or "I am only just a this".
I was encouraging them to take the "just" out of the equation. That they are big enough, strong enough, smart enough, brave enough and good enough. That we are all special and unique and that we all have our own special gifts to give to the world 🎁.
Instead, to remove the "just" and say "I am this" and "I do this" and "Whatever it is that you are, just be a good one" - Abraham Lincoln. Ones personal best is all that we can ask for from ourselves as well as others.
Comparing ones self to others is fruitless and a waste of time. Gizzie comes with a non-compete clause. I compete against no one except for myself. I will only compete against me and my last greatest victory in an effort to be my personal best. 🥳 Weeeeeeeeeeee weeeeeeeeee! 😊 lol
