Leave a positive message for others
Looking for a way to lift someones spirits? Sometimes all it takes is a few positive quotes or words of encouragement to immediately turn someones day around.
Leave a positive message for someone else here.
It can be anything. Maybe a thank you note? Maybe a quote? Maybe a gif? Maybe a poem? Anything positive is welcome!!
No matter what, you always have people here that care. Speak your truth and be here for others to speak.
There's no one in particular. But I write poems to calm myself and to make myself feel less alone. So this is one I wrote:
There's a light in each of us
In the bottom of our souls
A glimmer of hope that leads the way
When our minds have taken toll.
When you feel so alone in this world
You sometimes may forget
All the good and loving people
Who's hearts you've touched yet
With all the little things you do not realize
That you always seem to do
All of the small things everyday
That make you just you.
So when you're lonely and feeling sad
Just promise to shout and call
Cause one of those hearts whom you've touched
Will reach out for them all.
You all are so amazing and strong, I hope to be like you guys ❤️
I just hope you will be happy with what you did. It's okay to be late bloomers. You are awesome.
Now, I want to recognize @Darkseed / @Listeningseed for being the forum coordinator for the Anxiety board and doing the check-ins. He has made some very insightful check-ins with thoughtful memes and questions to ponder, and I really appreciate them and the opportunity to both check in as well as discuss my thoughts on the points presented on the check-ins. ![]()

Same goes for his check-ins on Fridays on the Depression board. ![]()
I didn't have time to reply to the check-ins today, but I still apperciate them anyway. Keep up the good work, brother! ![]()

There is always hope. Even if it hurts to think about it.
I went through a collection of some of my favorite passages of literature I've picked out over the years, and the following is among them-- a lengthy, vividly beautiful description of a sublime wintry scene in the Swiss Alps from Thomas Mann's masterpiece novel The Magic Mountain:
"Outside was gloomy nothing, a world packed in grayish-white cotton, in foggy vapors and whirling snow that pushed up against the windowpanes. The mountains were invisible, although over time something of the nearest evergreen forest might come into view, heavily laden with snow, only to be quickly lost in the next flurry; now and then a fir would shake off its burden, dumping dusty white into gray. Around ten o'clock the sun would appear like a wisp of softly illumined vapor above its mountain, a pale spook spreading a faint shimmer of reality over the vague, indiscernible landscape. But it all melted into a ghostly delicate pallor, with no definite lines, nothing the eye could follow with certainty. The contours of the peaks merged, were lost in fog and mist. Expanses of snow suffused with soft light rose in layers, one behind the other, leading your gaze into insubstantiality. And what was probably a weakly illumined cloud clung to a cliff, motionless, like an elongated tatter of smoke... Around noon the sun broke halfway through, struggling to melt the fog into blue, an attempt that fell far short of success. Yet there was a momentary hint of blue sky, and even this bit of light was enough to release a flash of diamonds across the wide landscape, so oddly disfigured by its snowy adventure. Usually the snow stopped at that hour of the day, as if for a quick survey of what had been achieved thus far; the rare days of sunshine seemed to serve much the same purpose-- the flurries died down and the sun's direct glare attempted to melt the luscious, pure surface of drifted new snow. It was a fairy-tale world, childlike and funny. Boughs of trees adorned with thick pillows, so fluffy someone must have plumped them up; the ground a series of humps and mounds, beneath which slinking underbrush or outcrops of rock lay hidden; a landscape of crouching, cowering gnomes in droll disguises-- it was comic to behold, straight out of a book of fairy tales. But if there was something roguish and fantastic about the immediate vicinity through which you laboriously made your way, the towering statues of snow-clad Alps, gazing down from the distance, awakened in you feelings of the sublime and holy."
When you are so close to giving up..
Take a deep breathe,
and let the minutes go by :)
each minute is a healing wound,
each hour is another tear,
each day you fight brave.
One day at a time buddy, one day at a time :). If you are going through things and you are still here, you are already at your strongest point, dont stop, you got this ^-^
Many people have been authors in your past, and have brought you to today, this moment, this time.
Now is the time for YOU to author your now. Paint your picture of the moment, write the tale of you in this spot in time. This is how you can take control of your narrative, and begin writing a better future for yourself!
