A Better Me - In Process
I have characteristics about myself that I desire/need to change. These characteristics were passed down to me through learned behavior from my parents, and they have ultimately impacted my relationship. I agree that they need to change, and I want to be better for my SO. How do you go about remaining positive while making drastic changes to yourself for the better? I’ve been watching some TED talks amongst other things, but I’m looking for maybe some more real-life experience and advice from people on here
@littleone5
Hey there, welcome ❤
So awesome to see how self aware you are , specially about the learnt behaviours and it's so great to realise that these are not personal to you ,but have been lent to us by surroundings .
Super glad to know you're trying to get better for yourself and your S/O , Ted talks and YouTube videos are amazing help, also it's very courageous of you to seek support and invite suggestions from people on here on how can one bring about positive changes and let go of the learnt behaviours ❤
Please be assured, you've accepted what needs change and you're willing to try at it , and it's so very commendable, and I for one , am rooting for you ! It's going to be quite a process to let go of the learnt behaviours from so many years, and to accept and move on from the pain and suffering, so very hard to experience it and move past , but healing is never linear and the process of getting better is ever so going, just small steps each day and you'll be super close to your better self , each day , everyday ❤
@littleone5 hi there! i usually remain positive while making drastic changes for the better by keeping myself a schedule (since being messy can mess me up), having people to help me remain positive and reminding myself that sooner or later i will be the person i want to be! :D
