Best Advice You Gave Or Received?
Some questions!
- What is the best piece of advice someone has ever given you? How has it helped you achieve what you wanted to achieve?
- What is the best advice you think you ever gave to someone? Have you ever passed on the best advice you got given to someone else?
Nice thread! @rebecca947
I dont remember the name of the person, but recently someone told me I dont have to be positive or perfect all the time. It's perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, making mistakes, frustrated. Having these feelings do not make me a negative person, it makes me human :D
This one is my favorite advice from among so many I have received from time to time
and I will share by & by.....
" Whatever you do don't forget to sprinkle a pinch of Love
and then see the difference " ![]()
@RideaRainbow
Ooh, that's a lovely quote- thank you for sharing! I love it so much- adding a bit of love to whatever we do definitely does go a long way!
@rebecca947
Thank u so much.

@rebecca947
The best advice I got was for me to realise I have flaws and that's ok. Is ok to mess up, to validate your feelings, and I don't need to put up with other's!
The best advice I gave someone was in terms of relationships. I had a friend some years ago who honestly had unrealistic standards... She was incredibly needy but to the point wasn't healthy. I told her to calm down, to realise her boyfriend is human. He needs his time with his mates, time for his hobbies and academics. Once she listened to what I said their relationship got better and they're still dating nowdays, 4 years. Yet, we stopped being friends ironically because of this advice. Apparently I was rude ^^"
@Booklover95
Yes, I agree! Having flaws is what makes us humans. Even superheroes have their own flaws.
I'm glad you tried to help your friend! But I'm sorry that it ended- it was her decision, and I'm sure she lost a great friend in you!
@rebecca947
thank you so much rebecca. To this day hurts me we aren't friends, but at least I'm happy I helped her find happiness.
@rebecca947 Recently I asked someone, why some people do not focus on 8 things we are doing, but ONLY pointing out the 2 things we do not do.. their response was "Because those some people would always look out for the wrong doing we've done. Just like a blank white paper, if you'd put a dot in the middle and ask people what they see, they'd just mention the dot in the middle rather than the purity and cleanliness of the blank paper"
Very wise words from them <3 So I thought of sharing it with you all
Hold On, Pain Ends (HOPE)
@MintyLemon0921
Yes, I love that ❤️ As a mattaer of fact, I got told that one too from a friend! Its a great quote :)
@rebecca947 yaaas it really is :)
I would have to say it would have to be from my brother. When I first got diagnosed with anxiety I thought I was crazy. And I remember him saying to me you are not crazy. You are healthy and beautiful and remember that every day!
'Get our of your comfort zone. Find your passion and then find your reason. It doesn't matter how slow you go long as you never stop..'
This is one of the best advice I have ever received and it's marked in my heart :)
I was told this by my bf: "life's not meant to be lived in fear" and it's way harder to do than I expected
@Madlynn
Thats a great quote, but its also true that its really hard to do. We think that fear is there for a reason, and sometimes its there with great reason! We just need to sort out whether its a fear we should act upon or feel it but do it anyway. Its hard to differentiate sometimes to figure out why youre fearful! It comes with time, and Im hopeful youll be able to live the quote your bf told to you one day! ❤️
