Learn that's it's ok to take of yourself sometimes and say no to others!
The best advice that I had gotten came from onr of my friends here in Chicago who told me never to make anyone a PRIORITY in my life if they only consider me and my friendship an OPTION in theirs. ![]()
It's ok to be wrong, its ok to admit you are wrong, its ok to learn from being wrong, and its ok not to hate yourself for being wrong.
Mistakes happen, the bigger mistake is to not learn something from it and grow from it.
Also, love yourself, you can't love others till you truly love yourself.
@DaveMcGrath Very Well put Kind Sir .🤔🧐
One of my listener friends told me recently that
This won't last forever.
@ASilentObserver To stop being so Hard on myself and take baby steps in trying to achieve my goals. Not like aI can take normal steps aways 🤭🤔
@OnlyDarkness really good one darkness. Reflecting on why these goals are important may help you feel more compassion for yourself in the process. You are self-aware that baby steps are better than normal steps. Taking things one day at a time often makes the load feel lighter.
@ASilentObserver Hey , I’ve got a little Sad news to you and the others I chat with. My condition is not getting better but worse . I’m having seizures all the time now and chest pains also. Please help me pass the Word because I told two other members I know TheGeraldExperience and that was yesterday. I also told someone just before chatting to you or sending you this but I can’t remember already. I asked them to pass the word too. I also told them that if this is another example of what’s happening to me I’m sorry for the inconvenience ✌️Out .
@OnlyDarkness
If you don't mind I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
"The inevitable truth is, you're on your own. At the end of the day, you'll have to muster the courage to pick yourself up by yourself because no one's going to do that for you always, there will be some day you'll just need to do it by yourself and that'll be the most freeing feeling in the world because if there's anyone who has your back for sure always, it's *you*, do yourself a favor and own your back every step of the way. Do you, for you, by you because *you* deserve being a better you and doing better by you."💛
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou That advice reminds me of the importance of self-reliance during challenging times. Having an inner source of courage and support can truly be freeing. I'm glad to see you found a message that empowered your strength and resilience within.
@ASilentObserver
Hehe it's an advice from me to me, Obziee lol, thank youu, self-reliance is all I've ever known and grateful for. I appreciate your encouraging comments always!❤
In the end, there's only one person who can help you that's you. You have to want it enough to work for it.
@AutiBoy That advice captures the importance of internal motivation and personal responsibility for growth. What was it about that message that resonated with you or stood out?
Short answer because it made me look at myself and how I can help myself.
Long answer
My friend told me that at a tough time and it's what got me through it. It stood out because it made me see that I got to work for it but also choose what battles I wanted to fight. I think of this now and automatically look at what I can do now and what I can do in the near future.
Wow i have a lot of advice that helped me but one of the many that stuck in my head is from my former 10th and 11th grade spanish teacher would be treat yourself as a friend and take it one day at a time no more or less than anyone else and your thoughts become the belief become the truth.
@blissfulTouch29 That's a thoughtful reminder from your teacher. Treating yourself with compassion during challenging times can be helpful. What feelings have you noticed as you've reflected on their words?
