Why Is Self love Important To You ?
I created a growth path for the community, it's still in progress but you can find it under the " community paths" ( clickable ) by the title Self-love: today and every day or simply click Here to get started!
I hope y'all try this path and it helps you feel better and brighter in your self-love journey. 😊
There's an option to add responses in the path itself, but I legit don't know where these answers go lol, I like to acknowledge things and for them to have some sort of *existence*, hence why, this forum thread is linked in one of the growth path's steps too and you can, of course, feel free to answer here anytime with or without accessing the growth path too ❤
Questions to reflect upon -:
♡ Why is self-love important to you?
♡ How do you think loving yourself could impact your life?
❤ Happy self-loving, everyone ❤
( Feedback of all kinds is always welcome, feel free to message me personally anytime if you have any feedback and/ or suggestions for this path, happy to hear your thoughts )

Hello, everyone! I think that self love is important to me because it's been helpful for me to forgive myself and move forward in healing. I hope you all feel the same! :)
It's Important To Know Others May Not Love You But You Learn To Love Yourself In The Process And Then Learn To Love Others
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Why is self love important to you? I need to learn how to love myself, in order to truly take care of myself.
How do you think loving yourself could impact your life? I think loving myself better would literally impact my physical health. Loving myself better can bring me closer to being the person that I want to be.
Self love is important to me because I don't have love from anybody, so I need to figure out how to give it to myself and let that be enough.
I think loving myself could impact my life because I would stop neglecting myself.
Hey @aquaCoconut7511, nice to see you've considered the self love growth path and are trying to inculcate more of it in your life. ❤️
It is sad to hear you feel there's no one around to offer love to you, but hey hey, you are there for yourself and that matters just enough, quite true indeed, the love we can give to ourselves can work like magic, and help us focus on ourselves, by taking care of our well being and not neglecting ourselves. I'm rooting for you. ❤️
What's one way you can show yourself some love this week? It doesn't have to be something grand, every bit counts, something as simple as treating yourself to your favourite food or trying some physical activity or going out in nature, anything that you enjoy and makes you feel better counts.
Thank you for this message. I'm feeling very heartbroken about something right now. So I think I'll show myself love this week by just letting myself cry when I need to and not feel bad for doing it.💔
I think self love is important to me because it's a sure fire way of making sure I give myself the potential to be everything I can be.
If you were a plant and got to choose where you were placed and how you were watered, you would place yourself in a sunny spot and get showered daily. Self love is choosing to do that for yourself (mentally, physically, emotionally) even if youfeel you are less than. You won't know your full potential until you support yourself and give yourself the full attention, understanding, resources, and care that is deserved to you.
To me Self love isnt changing so much as it is realizing and appreciating who you really are. Self love is actualizing a mindset that empathizes and encourages yourself to learn and grow for your past, present, and future.
Self love is giving yourself grace and not confining yourself to a past reality or your current/future struggles. I think reframing your mindset to one that is self-loving is a good start to putting yourself on a path towards happiness, that isnt reliant on outcomes or being in a fixed state. I found it helpful to write about myself and reframe some negative things I have thought about myself but from a place of eternal love and understanding. Feel free to try reframing some of your own negative thoughts with me:
- I am not lazy, I am burnt out, overwhelmed, and depressed, most people have felt this way at multiple points in their lives. I will reenergize, learn to manage, and find motivation/fulfillment in my life again
- I am not a fraud, I have put in real work and time to have the accomplishments I have and to be the person I am today
- I am not evil, no one can be reduced to being purely good or evil, sometimes our actions/outcomes do not match our intentions and we can work on that.
- I am not worthless, I have a positive impact in my world and the people in my world just by being in it. I have not experienced and shared all the joy that is to come in my life.
- I am not alone, I have friends, family, people in my life who care about me, I can, should, and will reach out to these people. I have not met all the people in the world who I will love, and will love me.
- I am not done growing, as long as I have life I have the potential to learn more about myself and the world around me, growth is forever and I can and will overcome my struggles
@raspberryLake7270 Great list! Thank you for sharing them.
I pick a word each year. For 2022, it is Grateful. For 2023, it will be Self-Love.
@SparklyFly This is an awesome practice. Hope the new year is filled with lots of self love for you!❤

I love this growth path theme 'Self love' 🥰❤ It is an important topic and we need to reflect on it, and practice self love.
Self love is important cuz we need to be able to love our before we can love others. If we love ourselves we will be good to ourselves and when we treat ourselves well, we will feel happy. Just like what is explained in this growth path, we need to love ourselves and we do not have to make others happy but sacrifice our own happiness. Only those who can love themselves can truly love others. If we cannot be good to ourselves and love ourselves, we cannot love others.
@VictoriaLove7
Aww first of all, thanks for walking this growth path, Viccc, I'm so happy you chose to! 🤗
And yes, so beautifully said, loving ourselves enables us to love others better! I owlways appreciate *you* and your smart mindset! 🥰
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
By loving myself, I take myself into accountability to take good care of me and hopefully radiates to others around me and help me take care of me and my family
