how would you comfort yourself when you're feeling tired/exhausted?

For me, it's this: "hey, I know this isn't easy for you. life can be soo tiring at times that you may find yourself feeling so low that doing things you once enjoyed also start to feel like a chore. I know the past few weeks haven't been pleasant and well, you're afraid to admit it to yourself because you want to be so much better, you want others to think you're doing well, that you're coping well. I want you to know that it's okie if you're not. we're all just humans, there's only so much we can do, so much we can be. you have all valid reasons to slow down and take a break, to not respond to what doesn't feel okie at the moment. you're allowed to rest. you've been doing so much, lumie and I know it feels wrong to step down or not be alright enough to be able to help others but you need your cup to be full. you're someone who deserves your own kindness and I hope that you can realize that soon. it's okie to not be okie, lumie, it really is. *hugs*"

I've been feeling extremely exhausted even after a short conversation with my mother because she ends up turning a slight conversation starter into a steaming argument and I've just had enough of that, I took an extremely hot bubble bath last night and it felt a lot better..

Hey there, Alone. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time and feel extremely exhausted *hugs if okay* It seems that the conversation with your mum wasn't very productive and pleasant for you. It can be upsetting to have arguments and especially if even a small conversation results into that, I can see where the exhaustion is rooting from. I am super glad that a hot bubble helped you though! It's extremely important to be extra gentle with yourself when you're feeling this low and worn out. Being aware of things that help you out when you're feeling down is amazing and I appreciate you for taking care of yourself in that moment when you needed it. *sending some calm peaceful beams your way*

how would you comfort yourself when you're feeling tired/exhausted?

thats some question which needs some digging.....

to me the answer is you should be alone for atleast 1 hour and do some self analysing on how you spent your enitre day and what it made you felt this much exhausted and tired,,,,second when you find the reason behind it than you can do somethings which can help you feel reenergised like listen your favourite music, read a book of your choice of interests, talk with online, offline friends, take a walk in garden to observe some greenery.

and most importantly....do some breathing exercises.this will make your brain much more less chaotic,,,and you will see some things more clearer.

soni, it's so good to see you here in the forums!

thank you for replying to this thread. I do agree with some alone time being necessary. self-reflection and introspection at times when you're feeling low can be extremely beneficial. questioning what events took place, what about them was exhausting/draining can be a great start! to rejuvenate, listening to our favourite music, reading a book, talking with friends, walk in the garden and some breathing exercises - that's a great self-care toolbox right there to help feel calmer and relaxed. that's really valuable and I do a lot of those things myself so it was nice hearing about them from you too! hope you're doing well on your side :)

thanks actually i was active before as well in some other threads but most people wont find my posts unless i tag them lol.but i agree i am more active lately in forums than before i was.wink

"questioning what events took place" thats a really important point you have picked, mosts people just do not question anything whats really going on with them. They just live as the flow goes hence they are always wondering why this is happening to them.

do you know about George carlin he has said something about questioning things

his quote as follows

Don’t just teach your children to read… Teach them to question what they read. Teach them to question everything.

I see that you were active before and aw haha, tagging people, does give them a notif so it's easy to find things. I would love to see more of you around!

yes, exactly, a lot of people don't question anything at all. that reminded me of a beautiful excerpt I came across a long time ago. I hope you like it.

and I love that! it's really important to teach children how to question what they read; there's no good point in just simply telling them to read, you have to instil curiosity in their minds, make them curious about how reading is beneficial, why that certain book is interesting, why is a particular story special to them, what's the point of reading and just basically make them curious about everything. that's a great thing you reminded me of, thank you!

Lots of "curious" word being used overall in that poetry.but its nice i do like it.

curiosity is one a important trait which you will find in many intelligent people.

yes its really important to teach children the right way to think.cause nowadays they lack how to use their critical thinking skills.

"Children must be taught how to think, not what to think

That's a lovely letter that you composed for yourself, Lumie! heart

I have one of my own, hehe:

"Autumn, I just want you to know...life is going to be tougher than you expected. And it will suck IMMENSELY. But that doesn't mean that you need to give up. It just means that you need to go at the pace you're comfortable with. I know that's easier said than done. A lot of things are. Luckily for you, you're much more durable than you estimated, and in more ways than one. Yes, your mental demons are hitting hard. Roll with the punches for now. But remember, one of your superpowers is absorbing any and all kind of pain before you deal it back out to your attackers. Let me know when you're ready to hit back. Your mental demons won't be laughing then."

Thanks for the discussion! (^ ^)heart

Autumn, I really love the message you've composed for yourself. By reading it, I can see you're really thoughtful and aware of the resilience that you have and that is very admirable. Thank you for writing this for yourself, I hope you can read it when you're feeling tired or distressed and find solace from it. This one really warmed me up as well
