Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. One of the hardest things in life is dealing with grief. However, we need to take care of ourselves especially if we are grieving someone close to us as that can take a while.

What steps can someone take to take care of themselves while processing grief?

Keeping in touch with others, not isolating.

I think it's good to make time and space to feel the negative feelings and have a good cry. You might also cry when remembering the good stuff and then the loss kicks in.

It's okay to feel, it's who you are. The relationship has feelings because of your very humanity. The loss should not become your identity permanently but its okay to be a grieving person who lost an important part of who they are.

I also think it's helpful to rember you can continue to love the person who has died. You can be healthy while carrying the positive aspects forward with you.
