2 deaths in less then a week
trigger warning
last week jan 2 2026 our oldest brother was shot and killed it hard due to he was one of them that sexually abused us and many other forms of abuse too plus way he died was a right out murder and the killer laster got stopped in car he stoled from yard that was our parents car he shot at a cop and was injured later died at hospital so both brother and his killer are dead.
then today jan 7th 2026 was talking on phone with dad after we called him to check on parents he told us that our other brother wife died in her sleep so 2 deaths in less then 1 week we really more down sad about sis in law death due to she year younger then us and we have good memories with her and brother other brother not good memories with him
our system really been effected by this news too just upset at the losses in our birth family we had very little connected with family only talk to dad on phone since we moved in may 2017 but still the deaths hurt we moved to get out of daily abuse
@stormieandpaws
I'm so sorry genuinely to hear this.
And the mixture of emotions you must have after all you've been through.
Please be gentle with yourself, it's a very confusing thing to navigate.
Here for you 💚

@Amanda84
thanks yes lots of mixed feeling some not even sure what they be
@stormieandpaws
That's completely understandable, it's alot to work through, there are no right or wrong ways to feel 💚
@stormieandpaws Ohhh myyy! I can't imagine the pain or mixed emotions you're going through! I'm sooo sorry you're going through this. It's just so sad and tragic. Sending prayers for you and your family. Remember, there's no wrong or right way to feel. Just feel, find peace and forgiveness, and heal, 🐾. You got this!

@YourCaringConfidant
thank you most our supports is online just in shock still but trying to allow self to feel what ever comes too lots of mixed feeling and even ones we not really have names for
@stormieandpaws I can't imagine. I'm proud of you for allowing yourself to feel whatever emotions come your way no matter how difficult it may be. That's a great step while you grieve. It's ok to not be able to pinpoint what your feeling or to not have a name for them. You're allowing yourself to feel everything and that's important. You will be in my thoughts.
@YourCaringConfidant
thank you we say latest up date today it all over the news due to the officer end up killing the one that killed our brother the women with him it sounds like had a record too she did get arrested and she a waiting court dad they set bound too
starting last night the flashbacks got bad and am so thankful for a listener that in this we end up reaching out too we know her from 24/7 support room so already was trusting her some scary to reach out but it seem to be only way we got to not end up going back to unhealthy coping skills sure you can understand that one
@stormieandpaws I'm sooo glad you had someone there to offer support when you needed it most. Bless the hearts of our amazing listeners here! 🥰 Hang strong and do whatever helps, soothes, and comforts you.

@YourCaringConfidan
thank you we was glad they was here too we kinda went out our comfort zone by reaching out to the listener we know from chat room but we glad we did now too we not gave into old coping ways that a big thing right now as before when things hit we go back to unhealthy coping ways trigger warning the main one was self harm so far we not did that yes it been hard not to go back to that with everything going on yesterday we saw they gave out brother name in news so that adds to all this too we glad his last name not our last name any more but we had to give information to ones know that was our maiden name just never thought a family member would die that way thank you for the support
@stormieandpaws oh dear im so sorry im having a similar situation with my grandma she is really sick and could die anytime but luckily she’s doing better:) hope you get better soon im sending blessings to them and you ❤️❤️❤️
@Rexonpawz
thank you think the shock wear off now still worried about parents as they old 84yr and 83yr we know this a lot on them both them not in good health too mom has Parkinson dad in wheelchair due to something to do with his back surgery not going well it been almost a year we think now since he had it no parent should lose a child even adult one before they go so know hard on parents also on brother losing his wife they was very close couple did a lot together
feel really bad for our niece she still young think 18yr almost 19yr still in high school
Loss is hard. Even if the loss involves abusive people. It can cause a lot of conflicting and confusing emotions. It can also trigger a lot of old memories.
I wish I had better words of comfort to offer to you all. Be patient with yourself and the others. We're here for you ❤️
@mytwistedsoul
thank you the loss of our oldest brother main sexual abuser is bring up many flashbacks right now even body flashbacks we never expected this to happen when his time came we trying hard not to go back to old unhealthy coping ways it been very hard not to sure you get that one too but we thankful for the support on 7 cups from ones like you that get it too
@stormieandpaws Went through similar when father died. Stirred up many things. So many conflicting emotions.
@mytwistedsoul
thank you most oue support online but our one offline friend did call tonight after we did not answer a text we kinda did not hear phone when she texted but she and one other only ones that checked on us one of the sis in laws our bother ex wife the brother who still living left message on FB kinda upset up she stated i know you not close to S that brother who died but have you heard he dead made it sound like we did not love him we loved him but not his actions that statement hurt only one other family member even connected up other then dad it like we being treated as if not part of the family so feeling hurt misunderstood and outcasted they not know what was like as a child or even adult when around the family members growup with
@stormieandpaws I am glad that your offline friend checked in on you at least. I wish the ex-sister in law wouldn't have stated it the way she did. Doesn't matter how close you were or weren't, it's still a big shock. You're right that you can love someone but not their actions. Hopefully the rest of the family will realize what they're doing and reach out to you. I know it hurts feeling like the family outcast. Even if they don't understand or know what you've been through, it doesn't take much to show someone compassion ❤️
@mytwistedsoul
thank you we mad at dad we found out that the one killed brother was inside parents home tied parents up too but the way tied up was easy to get out of so they was able to get free also the person did not check to see if they had a home phone so they was able tp call 911 after getting untied so dad left out a lot of the information too we glad parents are ok but mad we was not given all the information
but it been in newspaper and on TV this more of a shock to us we reached out to few family members but most either did not answer us or got mad at us when we said parents home unsafe parents not even lock front door they not for years worried about parents being in their home alone too
people think seeing we moved away that we not care and that not true at all
@stormieandpaws Omgosh Paws! I'm glad your parents are ok. Maybe they didn't share all the details because they didn't want you to worry or to scare you? But hearing it on the news or reading it in the newspaper would have been worse than hearing it from them imo.
@mytwistedsoul
thank you we think he should have told us glad sis in law did on FB Messager as we would not want to read it or hear it on news maybe thought we not find out seeing we watch no TV
we moved away to be safe also to break mom codependency on us as was getting worst she was spending a lot of her time at our apartment before we moved she just come in she did have a key due to our health but she n3ever would knock or even call before coming in the children alters this scared them also she read our journal even our mail we asked her not to do that but she still do it
so was lots of issues before we moved that no longer there
so many thought mom and us liked same things and was a lot alike that far from the truth if we got something new she go get same thing too
@stormieandpaws It's better to hear it from someone you know instead of reading it in the paper. It would have been better to hear it from him though
@mytwistedsoul
ya glad she told us but still think dad should have told us too
ya she use to do that a lot then get mad when we ask her not to read our journal and main it was like she thought she had right to do it due to her being our mom she even few times when we told her no go children are to obey their parents our come back was we no longer a child we a adult again she get mad at us yell at us even so she had no respected for us and our personal space another reason we moved away too
@stormieandpaws I'm glad you did move. She sounds difficult to deal with. Distance often brings peace with it. It doesn't matter who she is, everyone is entitled and allowed to have privacy.
