Did you feel your emotions were different?

With each loss we experience in life we encounter different emotions, and for some the loss of parents, partner, child, sibling, friend, and pet seem to be different.

Did you feel that way?

@lucy2

every loss hits differently depending on where you were with the person or pet etc that you lost.

for example we have lost pets and some deaths hit harder then others

although i would have said i was more attached to the other pet

for people if you have unresolved issues with person the feeling seem to linger and especially if you had any anger in that relationship.

Losing my partner tragically and suddenly and youth fully definitely hit harder than say when my grandma who I was extremely close to passed. Even though her illness was a sudden onset, it seemed she had lived a long life and I was grateful for all this time. It was a shock, sure, and shook up some ideas I had (especially since she had been healthy for so long it was unprecedented) but it felt natural and that she lived all the days of her life. It didn’t cause me to have existential questions. Experiencing unexpectedly the sudden death of my partner was a whole different ballgame. It caused me to question so much. I think it has a lot to do with your connection to someone but also the manner in which they perished

Hi @heatlightning

So sorry to read this <3

I fully agree with you, we find it so much harder to come to terms with young deaths. This

just doesn't seem to be right or natural does it?

Take care <3
