Do you dread the anniversaries of lost loved ones?
Often we really dread the run up to anniversaries and birthdays of those we've loved and lost. It brings back so many memories, not only of the day they died but of the good times we had with them.
How do you manage these emotions?

Aw yes indeed, these are particularly hard days (it's a hard every day without a loved one), I recently observed both hehe (talk about luck lol🤧).
Something that helped me was keeping myself busy ~ I watched movies, went for a walk, journaled a bit and the day got over somehow.
Sending love and strength to everyone coming across. You're allowed to do whatever that may help you, no two people deal with emotions or situations similarly. ❤
Thankyou for this post, Lucy! <3
Hi @Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Excellent reply ❤️
Absolutely, always do whatever it takes to get through the days. I have taken to allowing myself a certain amount of time to reflect and then distraction is the only way to get through. I particularly like journaling, walking, anything that takes concentration helps.
Thank you 😃 so much for your post.

What’s funny is the first two years it felt like any old day; I didn’t miss them particularly more or feel it particularly heavier that day. I might miss them more on a random day for whatever reason than that anniversary. But this year the week leading up to the anniversary has hit me like a ton of bricks.
Hi @heatlightning
Sounds as though you hadn't really taken it in before and now for some reason,
it's really has hit you {{{hugs}}}
Be kind to yourself and do something that makes you feel good, this period will pass <3
