Hello Universe, remember me?

I don’t know if you even notice me in this vastness. Yet, your effect on me can’t go unnoticed. It feels like I’m not allowed out of this by any mean. You enjoy watching me crawling to a mirage. I’m covered with my own wounds, I keep going, I can see a finish line. Is it really?

I feel everything. I feel the sadness, I feel the rejection, I feel the abandonment, I feel the unseen, I feel the unheard, I feel the anger, I feel the madness, I feel the unimportant, I feel the loneliness. But do you feel me? Feel my pain? Feel the crack in my voice? Feel the heat in my tears? Feel the death? Feel the disappointment? Feel the falling over and over again?

I’m that flickering star in space. The star that tried forever until it swallowed  itself into a black hole. Too fascinating to explore, yet to scary to stay with.

I do see you.

I do hear you.

I do hold your presence.

You do have value.

You do matter.

Your feelings are valid.

You are not alone.

This is an excellent and impactful poem. It drew me in quickly and sang to me. It is sometimes challenging to express these emotions, but you have done so exceptionally well. Even though everyone experiences grief differently, I can relate to what you expressed. I am happy you shared this with us. I hear you at a deep level. Is creative writing a therapeutic tool that helps? If you ever need to talk, please feel free to reach out anytime; my door is always open. And I would love to read more of your writing if you ever want to share some.

Peace be with you.

Thank you for your soft words! I appreciate that you took the time to read my bleeding heart and feel it.

I don’t know if writing is still helping me or not, it’s just all I’ve got right now. I’ve a vivid imagination that sometimes I need to express it into words, because my feelings aren’t just feelings, they’re a real image my soul experiences them.

I appreciate your offer that is so sweat of you! I know it’s hard for me to open up to others, but that is work on progress for me. Maybe one day I’ll have the courage to talk with you. It took me forever to share this, and I’m trying to convince myself to share more!

Thank you again and peace be with you and upon you 💜

@Eman1555

I'm pleased that you have the writing. I also use writing to work through things. I sometimes see writing as a form of self-exorcism, getting all the emotional build-up out of your body that can be challenging to express. It sounds as if sharing this was quite a big step, and I'm honored you took that with us here in the Grief and Loss Community. Take all the time you need.

Peace be with you.
